Joe Biden is doing everything within his power to avoid the crisis that he caused.
He’s unwilling to face the suffering that he’s caused.
Jen Psaki tried to put one serious question off-limits with a huge breakdown.
In April, the Border Patrol reported 172,000 encounters with illegal immigrants crossing the border, which is a 70% increase since February.
Rep. Michael McCaul, a Texas Congressman, went to the border himself to see what conditions were like himself.
“Migrants were packed into the holding cells in the Donna Detention facility – it was absolutely upsetting to see.” McCaul said. “While I was there, I saw a little girl who was crying – she was completely alone. As a parent this broke my heart knowing she was not the only migrant child who came here without her family. That perhaps smugglers brought her to the border. And these smugglers are taking advantage of families – charging them thousands of dollars and separating their children from them,” the Houston Chronicle reported.
This crisis was caused by President Joe Biden’s refusal to enforce America’s laws in any basic way, but he currently doesn’t even have plans to visit the border.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki grew agitated that people are asking why Biden won’t visit the border.
She claimed that the border was an “important issue” that the Biden administration was “focused on,” however she said Americans care more about other things like the coronavirus pandemic in an interview with former President Barack Obama’s campaign manager David Axelrod.
“What percentage of the public is focused on the border?” she asked. “A much smaller percentage than who’s focused on the pandemic and the economy. So that may be maddening, but, you know, that’s what we try to do.”
Axelrod then described attempts to pin the Biden administration on whether it’s a crisis or not as “sort of a game that drives you nuts” in Washington, D.C.
“‘White House in crisis,’” Psaki replied, mocking cable news chyrons and headlines about the border.
“Our calculation on that front is one, this is cyclical, we’ve seen surges at the border, every time it happens, it’s bad, until we do something to address it over the long term with root causes, immigration reform, it’s going to keep happening,” she continued.
Psaki then tried to shift blame and said that she tried to keep social media and traditional media from calling the border crisis a crisis.
“Really, what we had to be focused on was like what we were going to do about it,” she said. “And to us it’s like, it’s like that wasn’t really a crisis, it’s a huge challenge.”
