Joe Biden has been involved in numerous scandals that threaten to take him down.
But he’s finally being held to account.
And Jim Jordan just made a huge announcement on when a Biden impeachment could happen.
Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on Sunday that he expects the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden to go into next year.
Speaking with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo, Jordan said he believes the investigation into Biden will last through the beginning of next year when Republicans would then decide how to proceed.
“I believe we will get the depositions and the interviews done in this calendar year and then make a decision early next year whether … the actual evidence warrants going to articles of impeachment and moving to that stage of the investigation,” Jordan said during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures”.
“But I think, this year, November, December, we will depose all these people we still need to depose, and then we can make a decision,” he added.
The impeachment inquiry, which began in September, is investigating whether Joe Biden and his family were involve in corrupt business deals.
Earlier in November, House Republicans issued subpoenas to Hunter and James Biden. Hunter Biden will appear for deposition on Dec. 13th, and James Biden on Dec. 6th.
“The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes. Now, the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said in a statement.
“Unlike the many lies President Biden told the American people about his family’s business schemes, bank records don’t lie. These records reveal how the Bidens sold Joe Biden around to the world to benefit the Biden family, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of U.S. interests,” he added.
“The House Oversight Committee, along with the Committees on Judiciary and Ways and Means, will continue to follow the facts and deliver the transparency and accountability that the American people demand and deserve.”
Comer also sent subpoenas to Hunter’s business associates Eric Schwerin and Mervyn Yan, art dealer George Bergès, and art patron Elizabeth Naftali to appear before lawmakers for depositions.
“Given the evidence the Committees have uncovered about how Hunter Biden and other Biden family members have attempted to conceal the source of the money they received from abroad, it is particularly critical for the Committees to understand the details regarding the sale of Hunter Biden’s artwork by your client’s gallery. The Committee will also seek information about any differences between the sale of Hunter Biden’s artwork and the sale of other artwork by your client’s gallery,” Comer and Rep. Jim Jordan wrote to a lawyer for Bergès.
