Democrats are now in full damage control mode.
Despite polls showing Joe Biden leading Donald Trump, Democrats were in for some bad news.
And that’s because Joe Biden went on TV and admitted one thing about a sexual assault crime.
Tara Reade’s credible allegations of sexual assault rocked Joe Biden’s campaign.
A Morning Consult poll found 26 percent of Democrats wanted to replace Biden as the nominee after watching Biden personally address Reade’s allegations.
In another interview on MSNBC, Biden tried again to move past Reade’s credible allegations of sexual assault.
Biden told an MSNBC audience that if they believed Tara Reade, they should not vote for him.
“Well, I think they should vote their heart. If they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me. I wouldn’t vote for me if I believe Tara Reade. The fact is that — look at Tara Reade’s story. It changes considerably. And so, but I don’t want to question her motive. I don’t want to question anything other than to say the truth matters. This is being vetted. It’s been vetted. They went and people interviewed scores of my employees over my whole career,” Biden stunningly admitted.
Biden then falsely claimed women alleging Biden of sexually harassing or assaulting women would be out of character for him.
“This is just totally, thoroughly, completely out of character, and the idea that in a public place in a hallway, I would assault a woman? I mean, it’s — I mean — anyway, I promise you, it never happened. It should be vetted. She should be thoroughly looked at and whether or not these happened, look at the story, follow the story line and determine whether there’s any truth to it. And there is no truth to it. I promise you,” Biden added.
But critics contend that is just not true.
When Joe Biden entered the race, multiple women stepped forward alleging that Biden made them feel uncomfortable with unwanted kissing, touching and hugging.
Biden even went so far as to apologize for invading women’s personal space and promised to learn from the allegations.
However, Donald Trump, Jr. also posted videos to his social media account of young girls visibly disturbed by Joe Biden putting his hands on them and sniffing their hair during swearing-in ceremonies.
You can see the videos at the bottom of this article.
All of this discussion put the Biden campaign in an uncomfortable place.
Biden needs a united Democrat Party to win in November.
Reade’s allegations – and Biden’s call for anyone that believed Reade not to vote for him – threatened that cohesiveness.
A Monmouth University poll found 20 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of independents believe Reade’s allegations to be true.
If a significant number of those voters take up Biden on his offer about not voting for him, then Donald Trump will win a second term.

The @nytimes is right. There’s NOTHING CREEPY at all about how @JoeBiden interacts with the kids in this 4+ min long video.
All the touching & hair sniffing is TOTALLY APPROPRIATE & 100% NORMAL. Everyone does it!
I'm a bad person for mocking him & thinking it's disgusting!!!🙄 pic.twitter.com/DgQOnaK8q6

There are SO MANY different clips of @joebiden bizarrely & inappropriately sniffing hair & getting touchy with young girls that Twitter made me break up this 4 min comp into two separate videos. Does anyone really think this is normal behavior from Joe!??? pic.twitter.com/gNLo75bL0g
