Joe Biden’s blundering in foreign policy is getting more dangerous by the day.
The unthinkable is now a possibility.
Joe Biden left Americans speechless with this nuclear war ultimatum.
At a Democrat Party fundraiser in New York City, Joe Biden began spouting off about nuclear Armageddon and the end of all life on Earth over Russia’s war in Ukraine.
“We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Biden began.
Biden then began overinflating his knowledge of Russian President Vladimir Putin – who Biden failed to deter at every turn – and added that Putin may deploy tactical nuclear weapons to reverse battlefield losses in Ukraine.
“We’ve got a guy I know fairly well,” Biden added. “He’s not joking when he talks about potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons because his military is you might say significantly underperforming.”
Biden then threatened that if Russia hit Ukraine with a tactical nuclear weapon and broke the 77-year taboo on using atomic weapons in battle, America would unleash its nuclear arsenal leading to the end of human civilization.
“I don’t think there’s any such thing as the ability to easily [use] a tactical nuclear weapon and not end up with Armageddon,” Biden declared.
Americans were shocked that the president would riff off the cuff about annihilating all human life on Earth.
But this is the danger of a 79-year-old man who is clearly cognitively impaired holding the office of the president.
Even Ukraine war hawks like National Review’s Jim Geraghty expressed shock and dismay that Biden threatened nuclear war over Ukraine.
Geraghty wrote that Ukraine is not a NATO ally and not covered by the American nuclear umbrella and that Biden skipping to the very last rung of the escalatory ladder straight to all-out nuclear war was irresponsible and insane.
“Let us be exceptionally clear: The U.S. may want to help Ukraine, but Ukraine is not a member of NATO, the U.S. is not obligated by treaty to defend Ukraine, and Ukraine is not covered by the U.S. nuclear umbrella. A nuclear attack on Ukraine is not the same as a nuclear attack on the United States, and it should not be treated as such. The detonation of a Russian nuke on Ukrainian soil or off Ukraine’s coast would be an outrage and a war crime. It would demand the imposition of all kinds of serious repercussions on the Russian state. But an American nuclear counterstrike is not and should not be one of those repercussions,” Geraghty wrote.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to walk back Biden predicting the apocalypse telling reporters that Biden’s comments were not based on any actual intelligence about the status of Putin’s nuclear forces.
“We have not seen any reason to adjust our own strategic nuclear posture nor do we have any indication that Russia is preparing to imminently use nuclear weapons,” Jean-Pierre told reporters.
Jean-Pierre’s walk-back was the latest example of Biden making a public statement on a policy matter only to have his handlers leak to the press that the president of the United States does not speak for the United States government.
Last March Biden declared in a speech in Poland that Putin can no longer remain in power.
Biden’s aides leaked to the press that the United States does not support regime change in Russia as Putin could view Biden’s declaration that he must be removed as an existential threat to Russia and launch a nuclear weapon.
On four separate occasions Joe Biden committed the United States to war with Communist China over Taiwan.
Yet each time Biden’s handlers walked back Biden’s comments claiming the policy of strategic ambiguity was still in effect.
Joe Biden’s growing senility has America in the situation where a president with little control over his faculties is making pronouncements about nuclear war at a time when the world sits on a razor’s edge.
