It’s all going downhill for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Even their allies are turning on them.
And now Joe Biden and Kamala Harris got hit with the one big demand they will never recover from.
The Democrats’ allies in the media have already thrown in the towel on Biden and Harris.
Activists in the press and pundits have seen enough.
With a midterm wipeout on the horizon Never Trump Washington Post columnist George Will sees no hope for political recovery.
Instead, Will demanded Biden and Harris quit in a column entitled “For the good of the country, Biden and Harris should bow out of the 2024 election.”
The breaking point for Will was Biden’s senility.
At a NowThis News panel Biden could not remember that he imposed his illegal student loan ballot via executive fiat.
Instead, Biden invented the fact that Congress passed it by a couple of votes.
“It’s passed,” Biden began. “I got it passed by a vote or two.”
Will wrote that it is frightening that Biden’s memory is in such decline and that it is imperative Biden not run for re-election.
“It is frightening that Biden does not know, or remember, what he recently did regarding an immensely important policy. He must be presumed susceptible to future episodes of similar bewilderment. He should leave the public stage on Jan. 20, 2025,” Will wrote.
As for Harris, Will was ice-cold in his dismissiveness.
“Kamala Harris has been heard from, sufficiently,” Will stated.
Will then listed off a number of Harris’s verbal roundabouts where Harris could not string together consecutive coherent sentences and ridiculed Harris as similar to an unprepared student.
“She sounds, as a critic has said, like someone giving a book report on a book she has not read. Her style betrays a self-satisfied exaggeration of her aptitudes. Lacking natural talent, she needs to prepare, but evidently doesn’t. Complacency and arrogance make a ruinous compound,” Will added.
Will said the Democrats had no choice other than to force Harris and Biden to resign as Biden is in decline and Harris’s best was embarrassingly short of leading a winning presidential ticket.
“Regarding Biden and Harris, the national Democratic Party faces two tests of stewardship: Its imprimatur cannot again be bestowed on either of them. Biden is not just past his prime; even adequacy is in his past. And this is Harris’s prime,” Will exclaimed.
Privately Democrats agree with this assessment.
The New York Times even dropped the first hint of what is to come after the election publishing a story describing Biden’s verbal stumbles.
“Mr. Biden, who at 79 is the oldest president in American history, has a long record of gaffes dating back to when he was a young man. But his misstatements have become more pronounced, and more noticed, now that he has the spotlight of the presidency constantly on him. While Mr. Biden has said he intends to run for a second term, his age ranked at the top of the list for Democratic voters who told pollsters that they want the party to find an alternative, according to a survey by New York Times and Siena College this summer,” the Times wrote of Biden’s struggles during a campaign swing in Florida.
This is the first time the corporate press has ever tread on this territory.
The Washington Post and New York Times publishing pieces on the same day essentially saying Joe Biden suffers from cognitive decline is significant in that it shows the dam is breaking.
And should Democrats suffer a landslide defeat on November 8 there will be a flood of stories calling into question if Joe Biden is suffering from a cognitive impairment like dementia and claiming that Kamala Harris is too toxic to serve as the nominee in 2024.
