Former Vice President Joe Biden is a favorite to challenge President Trump in 2020.
Many people feel that he is just the man to beat Trump in a one on one race.
But they both just had a small face off in Ohio, and you won’t believe who won.
One of the best ways to prove influence in politics is through endorsements.
Besides actually running for office, there is no better way to prove what people think of you than by throwing your weight behind somebody else.
So in Ohio, Tuesday was truly a testament towards the opinions of a few political heavyweights.
Ohio’s 12th Congressional District held a special election which was proven to be one of the most competitive so far this year.
And in that race, it pitted the influence of President Donald Trump and of former Vice President Joe Biden.
Trump supported the Republican, Troy Balderson, while Biden supported the Democrat Danny O’Connor.
Both of them worked hard for the respective candidates, with Trump holding a rally in Ohio where he called for his supporters to vote for Balderson and with Biden recording a robocall to support O’Connor.
In the end, it turned out that Trump was victorious, with Troy Balderson winning.
Trump took to Twitter to congratulate Balderson, and to boost his influence in the race.
When I decided to go to Ohio for Troy Balderson, he was down in early voting 64 to 36. That was not good. After my speech on Saturday night, there was a big turn for the better. Now Troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. He will win BIG in Nov.

Trump almost certainly was the defining factor in the race, which was decided by less than 2,000 votes.
The president pulled out all the stops to ensure that Balderson would win and came out successful.
On the other side, Biden worked hard for his opponent.
But despite his work, he was not able to edge out the influence brought about by Donald Trump.
This served as a small referendum on the opinion of the American people on both Biden and Trump.
If they were to face off in 2020, this race shows that Trump currently has the upper hand.
And that shouldn’t be very surprising.
President Donald Trump has spent the past two years implementing his agenda and bringing results.
Because of Trump’s resilience, the economy is doing very well.
The stock market is sitting healthy; the unemployment rate is at near-historic lows, and economic growth in the last quarter increased by 4.1%.
Those were all things that Trump’s opposition believes he could never do.
The 4.1% economic growth figure is particularly positive.
Media outlets like CNN predicted that Trump would not be able to get even half the amount of economic growth that he has achieved.
But Trump has proven all of them wrong and done far more than anybody ever expected he would be able to.
Unless something drastic happens between now and 2020, it seems that Trump will have a very easy time winning re-election.
Even Democrats are beginning to realize this, and after spending months bragging about a blue wave in 2018, they are realizing that they almost certainly will not be able to achieve that.
Do you think that Trump will win re-election in 2020?
