Joe Biden keeps saying he is running for re-election.
But that may not be the case.
And that’s due to the fact that Joe Biden just found out some really bad news at the worst possible time.
Joe Biden insists he needs to run for re-election in 2024 because he is the only Democrat that can defeat Donald Trump.
However, polls show Trump leading Biden as Biden’s job approval number sank to 42 percent.
The Real Clear Politics polling average finds Trump holding a 0.4 percent advantage over Biden in a 2024 rematch.
Those poll numbers for Biden are likely to get worse.
A new monthly survey of economists found 60 percent believed the economy will slide into a recession.
ING chief international economist James Knightley blamed Biden’s inflation for the coming recession.
Knightley stated that a “significant tightening of financial conditions is a clear headwind to growth and comes at a time when consumer and business confidence is already under immense pressure from the rising cost of living and falling equity, bond and real estate prices.”
When Donald Trump left office inflation was 1.4 percent.
But thanks to Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion socialist spending bill the latest inflation report found prices skyrocketing 8.2 percent year-over-year, the biggest jump in 40 years.
In an interview with CNN, Joe Biden allowed for the possibility of a recession predicting America would only experience a slight downturn.
“I don’t think there will be a recession. If it is, it’ll be a very slight recession. That is, we’ll move down slightly,” Biden told host Jake Tapper.
Of course, in 2021 Joe Biden also declared inflation was transitory so Biden predicting a mild recession means a massive crash is likely on the way.
Many Americans believe the economy is already in a recession as the last two quarters saw economic contraction.
Inflation is already crushing Americans.
A Dallas Federal Reserve study found the majority of American workers experienced a median pay cut of 8.5 percent as the rise in prices outstripped raises.
“We find that a majority of employed workers’ real (inflation-adjusted) wages have failed to keep up with inflation in the past year,” the study explained. “For these workers, the median decline in real wages is slightly more than 8.5%.”
Joe Biden’s disastrous socialist spending and resulting inflation inflicted the worst economic conditions in 25 years on the American worker.
“Taken together, these outcomes appear to be the most severe faced by employed workers over the past 25 years,” the study added.
The economy sinking into a deep recession in 2023 would be the final nail in the coffin for Joe Biden’s political prospects.
Biden is already trailing Trump.
If Trump ran against Biden comparing the economic boom under Trump until Communist China released COVID to the crash under Biden would serve as a winning message for Trump.
There is no chance Democrats would allow the author of an economic downturn to run for re-election against Trump.
And a recession in 2023 would spur Democrats to force Joe Biden to step aside so the party could pick a new candidate.
