Joe Biden’s rocky presidency is not steadying anytime soon.
But the source of the latest setback took everyone by surprise.
And Joe Biden broke down and admitted a defeat leaving Trump grinning from ear to ear.
Joe Biden nominated anti-gun fanatic David Chipman to serve as the director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Chipman – who can’t find a gun grab to gut the Second Amendment that he doesn’t support – expected to serve as the point man on Biden’s plan to ban firearms and essentially end the Second Amendment by passing gun control by fiat to restrict access to ammunition and firearms accessories.
Bur Joe Biden waved the white flag of surrender and pulled Chipman’s nomination following reports in The Reload that Chipman made racist remarks about black ATF agents.
A current ATF agent told The Reload that Chipman made derogatory remarks about black agents not being smart enough to earn their way onto the promotional list.
“He made some comments that he was surprised by the number of African Americans who have made it onto a specific promotional list,” the agent recounted to The Reload. “So, his insinuation was that they had to have cheated. Which is kind of despicable.”
A former agent confirmed the story.
“That one had to do with what’s called the assessment center, which would be to get promoted,” the former agent stated. “Somebody would have had to file a complaint against him if he were a supervisor making those statements.”
The current ATF official told The Reload that Chipman left the ATF office in Detroit following allegedly making these racist remarks.
“He left Detroit because of that,” the current agent added. “He did not leave Detroit on the best of terms. His reputation was that he was not nice to people.”
After pulling Chipman’s nomination, Joe Biden released a statement blaming pro-Second Amendment Republicans for Chipman not having enough votes to win Senate confirmation.
“Unfortunately, Republicans in Congress have made clear that they intend to use gun crime as a political talking point instead of taking serious steps to address it,” Biden stated. “That’s why they’ve moved in lockstep to block David Chipman’s confirmation, and it’s why they side with gun manufacturers over the overwhelming majority of the American people in opposing common sense measures like universal background checks.”
But this was a lie.
Democrats have the 51 votes – between all 50 Democrat senators and Vice President Kamala Harris – to confirm Chipman.
Biden yanked Chipman’s nomination because Democrat Senators Angus King, Joe Manchin and Jon Tester would not vote for Chipman.
This ended up as a major win for Donald Trump Jr. who led the pressure campaign against moderate Democrats to oppose Chipman.
