Joe Biden doesn’t want the American people to enjoy their freedom.
He’s restricting liberty at every chance he gets.
Joe Biden cancelled a huge 4th of July celebration with a stunning announcement.
It’s been a year of Covid restrictions and so far not a single medical system in America has gotten overrun, not even in South Dakota which never restricted the state’s inhabitants’ freedom in any way.
Covid was quickly seen to have only a death rate of 0.28% as reported by the CDC, and posed no significant risk to the majority of Americans, and yet the Democrats continued to insist the lockdowns were needed.
The Democrats have been using the crisis their overreaction caused as an excuse to pass their radical agenda.
President Joe Biden said in a speech that maybe if Americans are good, they’ll be allowed out by the 4th of July.
“If we do all this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the Fourth there’s a good chance that you, your families and friends will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbeque and celebrate Independence Day. That doesn’t mean large events with lots of people together, but it does mean small groups will be able to get together.” Biden said.
One thing that the Biden administration has already cancelled is the fireworks over Mount Rushmore.
“The National Park Service (NPS) has denied a request from the state of South Dakota to hold a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore to celebrate the Fourth of July this year,” The Hill reported.
Last year the fireworks were safely held, and former President Donald Trump spoke at the event.
“Potential risks to the park itself and to the health and safety of employees and visitors associated with the fireworks demonstration continue to be a concern and are still being evaluated as a result of the 2020 event,” NPS Regional Director Herbert Frost wrote in a letter to the state, according to The Hill. “In addition, the park’s many tribal partners expressly oppose fireworks at the Memorial.”
“These factors, compiled with the COVID-19 pandemic, do not allow a safe and responsible fireworks display to be held at this site,” Frost said.
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem was already concerned that the fireworks would be cancelled again as they were under Obama.
“The Mount Rushmore Fireworks Celebration is the best way that we can celebrate America’s birthday. We lost our ability to hold this celebration during the Obama administration, so I’m asking our South Dakota delegation to help us advocate for this tremendous event,” Noem said to The Daily Caller.
