Democrats thought they secured a game-changing victory.
But now the polling data tells a different story.
Joe Biden got slammed with devastating news that blindsided Democrats.
Democrats like Joe Biden crowed after California Governor Gavin Newsom beat back a recall attempt in a landslide win.
The corporate media, Joe Biden, and other Democrats glossed over the fact that exit polls showed independents split 50/50 on recalling Newsom and zeroed in on the overwhelming Democrat turnout in deep-blue California to claim Newsom’s win vindicating Joe Biden’s unconstitutional federal vaccine mandate.
Speaking to reporters the night of the recall as the returns came in showing Newsom on track to win, Biden claimed there was broad support in the country for his mandate that all employers with more than 100 employees require the vaccine.
“There’s a positive support for mandates – by and large,” Biden stated. “There’s always going to be a small percentage that say no.”
Biden’s poll numbers sank beginning in July and Biden and his handlers believed in a tough response to COVID – the one issue where Biden consistently polled over 50 percent.
But after Biden delivered an angry and divisive speech to the nation where Biden announced the federal government now controlled individuals’ bodies, the polling data did not bear out Biden’s board of broad support.
A Quinnipiac poll taken entirely after Biden’s COVID mandate speech showed more Americans disapproved of Biden’s handling of the pandemic than approved.
This represented a net drop of 12 points in Biden’s approval on COVID in just one month.
“Biden’s numbers on his handling of the response to the coronavirus are mixed, with 48 percent approving and 49 percent disapproving. This compares to August, when he received a 53 – 40 percent approval rating on his handling of the coronavirus,” a Quinnipiac press release accompanying the poll read.
The poll also proved Biden falsely claimed positive support for his forced vaccination regimen.
Quinnipiac found a majority of Americans – 51 percent – disapproved of the federal vaccine mandate.
Fifty-six percent of independents reacted negatively to the mandate.
“A slight majority of Americans (51 – 48 percent) disapprove of President Biden’s plan to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for millions of Americans in the public and private sectors. Republicans disapprove 84 – 13 percent, independents disapprove 56 – 44 percent, and Democrats approve 89 – 10 percent,” the Quinnipiac press release read.
Democrats were counting on COVID and the vaccine mandate to rally support from swing voters and staunch the bleeding on Joe Biden’s plunging poll numbers.
Biden and his allies overreacted to Newsom winning his recall election by a smaller margin than Joe Biden beat Trump within 2020.
Cook Political Report elections analyst Dave Wasserman noted that the “yes” vote to recall Newsom finished with over 50 percent in multiple swing districts.
Wasserman noted if that shift played out across the country next year Republicans would set up for a big night.
The Quinnipiac poll served as the second data point that Biden and his allies overplayed their hand in imposing a federal vaccine mandate.
