Joe Biden’s numbers are so bad that it’s impossible to turn them around.
And it’s putting Democrats in a bad position heading into the 2024 election.
Now Biden has sunk even lower, and the Democrats are in full-blown panic mode.
President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have sunk to the lowest level of his presidency so far according to NBC News polling released on Sunday.
Just 40 percent of voters approve of Biden, while in contrast 57 percent disapprove of Biden’s presidency.
“[W]hat stands out in the new survey is the shift among voters ages 18 to 34,” the poll found. “In September, 46% of these voters said they approved of Biden’s job performance.”
“Now? Biden’s approval rating dropped to 31% among these voters,” the report stated.
The biggest reason for this sudden shift has been young voters’ disapproval with the way Biden has handled foreign policy and the Israel-Hamas war.
“Joe Biden is at a uniquely low point in his presidency, and a significant part of this, especially within the Biden coalition, is due to how Americans are viewing his foreign policy actions,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates according to NBC News.
The poll found that 56 percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the war, including 41 percent of Democrats, 59 percent of independents, and 69 percent of Republicans.
The NBC News poll had more bad news for Biden. For the first time in the poll’s history, Biden is trailing Trump in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, with Trump leading at 46% among registered voters.
Five other recent polls – CBS News/YouGov, CNN/SSRS, Fox News, Marquette University Law School and Quinnipiac University poll – have all found Trump leading by 2 to 4 points over Biden in a 2024 matchup.
Biden’s swing state numbers are even worse.
The New York Times/Siena College poll asked respondents in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin who they would support if the 2024 presidential election was held today.
The poll showed Trump leading by 11% in Nevada, 6% in Georgia, 5% in Arizona, 5% in Michigan, and 4% in Pennsylvania. Biden is leading in Wisconsin by just 2%.
A reporter asked Biden’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the results during Monday’s White House press briefing.
“There are going to be a number of polls that are going to be coming out, which obviously we respect,” Jean-Pierre responded. “But what I’ll be very clear about is that we are not going to govern by polls here.”
