Joe Biden addressed the nation after ISIS suicide bombers murdered 12 Marines and one Navy corpsman.
It turned into a disaster.
And Joe Biden hung his head in defeat after this devastating question from Fox News.
Joe Biden counted on the Taliban to provide security at the Kabul Airport while the American military evacuated U.S. citizens and allies.
That proved to be yet another disastrous decision as ISIS suicide bombers easily breezed past Taliban “security” to detonate two explosives murdering 60 innocents including 13 American service members.
Biden hid from the public for hours after the attack where the only statement released by the White House “honored” Women’s Equality Day.
After spending most of the day concealed from the public, Biden finally addressed the nation after showing up 25 minutes late.
Many Americans were horrified at the confused, frail and incoherent display Biden put on.
After the brief speech, Biden took questions from pre-selected reporters that Biden said his handlers instructed him to call on.
After Biden ran through those pre-approved questions that Biden’s handlers likely prepared scripted answers for, Biden took a few unscripted questions by calling on reporters.
One of the reporters Biden called on was Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy.
Doocy pressed Biden on if Biden took responsibility for the disastrously executed withdrawal plan that led to the death of 13 American military members.
“Mr. President, there had not been a U.S. Service member killed in combat in Afghanistan since February of 2020. You set deadline, you pulled troops out, you sent troops back in, and now 12 marines are dead,” Doocy stated. “You said the buck stops with you. Do you bear any responsibility for the way that things have unfolded in the last two weeks?”
Biden then proceeded to blame Donald Trump for negotiating a peace deal that would withdraw all troops by May.
“I bear responsibility for fundamentally all that’s happened of late, but here’s the deal. You know, I wish you would one day say these things, you know as well as I do, that the former president made a deal with the Taliban that he would get all American forces out of Afghanistan by May 1. In return the commitment was made – and that was a year before. In return, he was given a commitment that the Taliban would continue to attack others but would not attack any American forces,” Biden began.
An angry and disoriented Biden then argued with Doocy claiming the entire thing was Trump’s fault and that was the only reason the Taliban killed no American soldiers dating back to February 2020.
“Remember that? I’m being serious,” Biden ranted, “No, I’m asking you a question, because –” in which Doocy again tried to ask a question. But Biden wouldn’t budge.
“No, no, wait a minute. I’m asking you a question,” Biden added. “Is that accurate to the best of your knowledge?”
When Doocy refused to acknowledge Biden’s misleading talking point and stood up to Biden’s intimidation tactics, Biden then hung his head in the shame of defeat that quickly became the defining image of Joe Biden’s presidency.
You can see the picture at the bottom of this article.
Biden’s point did not hold water.
Joe Biden junked Trump’s deal by pushing back the withdrawal date to September 11 to stage a politically motivated photo op.
In addition, it was not the Taliban that killed the Americans; ISIS suicide bombers murdered American service members.
Joe Biden wants to avoid taking responsibility for the catastrophe unfolding in Afghanistan because even the most nimble and capable president could not defend the betrayal of American service members and civilians on the ground in Afghanistan.
