Democrats are panicking.
Their attempt to take over the internet has just failed.
And now, the biggest government censorship scandal of all was just blown wide open.
For years, Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media used the power of the federal government to try and censor their critics online.
But after Elon Musk bought Twitter, the vast censorship scheme that the Left had constructed came crumbling apart.
And now, after months of meticulous research and investigation, independent journalist Matt Taibbi has uncovered just how deep the censorship rabbit hole actually goes.
And the Left is terrified.
Taibbi writes in a devastating rebuke of the Left’s censorship collusion between Twitter and the federal government, “When #TwitterFiles reporters were given access to Twitter internal documents last year, we first focused on the company, which at times acted like a power above government. But Twitter was more like a partner to government. With other tech firms it held a regular ‘industry meeting’ with FBI and DHS, and developed a formal system for receiving thousands of content reports from every corner of government: HHS, Treasury, NSA, even local police.”
Taibbi was given access to virtually all of the internal documents that Musk inherited after he purchased Twitter in late 2022.
And the results from his investigation blow wide open the myth that the Left was not colluding with the federal government to silence their critics online.
And when Taibbi was called before Congress to testify about the findings he reported on personally, the results were shared with the rest of the public.
“Effectively, news media became an arm of a state-sponsored thought-policing system,” Taibbi said at a House subcommittee hearing on March 9. “It’s not possible to instantly arrive at truth. It is however becoming technologically possible to instantly define and enforce a political consensus online, which I believe is what we’re looking at.”
His testimony resulted in a freak-out by left-wing members of Congress who were sitting on the panel. At one point, more than six members of Congress got into a shouting match when Taibbi refused to be baited into answering a “gotcha” question from one Democrat.
It should come as no surprise that members of the Left are terrified about what Taibbi has to say.
That is why no mainstream media outlet has reported on any of his work.
That’s because they know he is exposing efforts by the federal government to circumvent the 1st Amendment and impose severe restrictions on freedom of speech via the funding of third-party organizations that were prompting the use of more censorship on platforms like Twitter.
And the only reason these efforts came to a close and ended up becoming public knowledge is because Elon Musk bought the platform in the first place.
But now, the Left does not want the truth to get out because they know the findings that Taibbi continues to publish week after week expose the rot that has taken place within America’s political system.
And they are finally being called out for it like never before.
