Joe Biden’s political power is collapsing.
He cannot even command the loyalty and support of his own party.
And now, Biden was left reeling after this top Senate Democrat refused to support him in 2024.
After two years of being one of the most unpopular political leaders in American history, Joe Biden’s crisis of confidence has taken a turn for the worse.
The vast majority of the American people do not want to see Biden remain in office any longer.
And even a majority of Democrats would like to see a replacement for their party’s 2024 presidential nomination.
But that hasn’t stopped Joe Biden from attempting to force the American people to put up with him for another four years.
And having already laid the groundwork for a new 2024 presidential campaign, Biden is now going around attempting to court support from within the Democratic Party for his re-election bid.
But there’s just one problem for Biden.
Not everyone is on board.
Breitbart reports, “Thursday, on FBN’s ‘Cavuto: Coast to Coast,’ Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) refused to say who he would support in the 2024 presidential election, including incumbent President Joe Biden.”
The announcement from Joe Manchin comes as a stunning repudiation of Joe Biden, who ended up losing Manchin’s home state in a complete landslide in 2020.
Biden is currently on track to lose West Virginia by a similar blowout margin in 2024.
And this could be a huge reason why Manchin refuses to support Biden for re-election, because he knows that Joe Biden is deeply unpopular in his own state and that backing him could mean the end of Manchin’s own re-election bid.
“I’m not going to say I’m going to support or not support somebody. I want to see and find the best path — the best pathway for America. We got to get out of the toxic relationships that we have in our political process,” said Joe Manchin.
At that point, Neil Cavuto asked Manchin a question that he had likely been dreading.
Cavuto pressed the senator and asked, “If it were Donald Trump, Senator, if it were Donald Trump, Senator, as the Republican nominee against Joe Biden, who would you support?”
And even then, Manchin refused to say that he would support Joe Biden against Donald Trump, despite the fact that Democrats despise Donald Trump.
The hypothetical matchup of Trump and Biden going at it again in 2024 could serve as the finishing blow to Manchin’s political career, as his re-election path would require him to win over a huge number of voters in West Virginia who would almost certainly support Trump over Biden.
Instead, Manchin attempted to skirt the question by saying he would wait to see “who has the better plan” for the country.
But for Joe Biden, the fact that one of the most powerful Democrat senators in Washington, D.C. refused to announce that he would support him even against Donald Trump, serves as a powerful and humiliating public rebuke for his record in office.
