Joe Biden is on a rampage against free speech.
And with Elon Musk’s recent purchase of Twitter, the Left is outraged.
Now, Biden is working to restore the Left’s stranglehold on free speech online after he issued one chilling threat to Elon Musk.
After Elon Musk completed his purchase of Twitter earlier in November, the Left went into a panic rage.
Elon promised that he would respect freedom of speech on Twitter after he took over, in stark contrast to the trend that had existed on most social media sites in recent years, where left-wing moderators worked relentlessly to crush conservative viewpoints and censor things which they disagreed with.
And with Elon’s push to restore freedom of speech on the social media platform, the Left finally recognized that they no longer had a monopoly on online discourse for the first time in decades.
As a result, left-wing activists almost immediately went about threatening to shut down Twitter and boycott advertisers to pull their funding for the platform.
But the Left didn’t stop with just economic threats, they also ventured into the political arena to get Democrat politicians to attack Elon Musk as well.
And there’s no greater threat against Elon’s recent purchase of Twitter than Joe Biden.
NBC News reports, “Asked whether Elon Musk posed a threat to national security, President Joe Biden said Wednesday that the billionaire’s ‘relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at.’”
“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden announced at a recent press conference in the White House.
“Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate — I’m not suggesting that — I’m suggesting it’s worth being looked at. And that’s all I’ll say,” Biden continued.
By opening the flood gates for a Democrat-backed “investigation” into Elon Musk, Biden is subtly threatening Elon with federal action against him unless he caves to the woke mob who are currently demanding he reinstate left-wing censorship on the social media site he just recently bought.
And Biden has the backing of several prominent Democrats in Congress to go after Elon, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Elizabeth Warren.
Both Democrats have repeatedly called for Elon’s wealth to be confiscated by the government, and both want to restore left-wing censorship of conservative viewpoints online, especially on a platform like Twitter which is no longer in the hands of liberal ideologues.
By holding the threat of a federal investigation over his head, Biden hopes to not only pressure Elon Musk into caving into demands from liberal activists, but he also wishes to shore up his own support among his left-wing base, who remain furious that Biden hasn’t done enough to impose the Democratic Party’s agenda on the rest of the country wherever he can.
As a result, Elon is now under significant pressure to restore liberal-backed censorship on his site, despite the whole reason for Musk’s recent purchase of Twitter being the desire to protect freedom of speech.
It remains to be seen whether Musk will hold firm or be forced to cave to the Left.
