Joe Biden’s failure in Afghanistan turned into a tragedy.
ISIS suicide bombers unleashed attacks that led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.
And Joe Biden surrendered something to the Taliban that will leave you speechless.
Joe Biden’s haphazard withdrawal abandoned American citizens behind enemy lines.
Because Biden abandoned Bagram Air Force base, Kabul Airport was the only means of evacuating U.S. citizens.
But when thousands of Afghans mobbed the airfield in an effort to escape Taliban rule, it created a bottleneck that blocked Americans from making it to the airport even if U.S. citizens could make it through Taliban checkpoints.
Biden set a deadline to remove U.S. military forces by August 31 which left the administration precious little time to evacuate the at least 1,500 Americans remaining in Afghanistan.
However, in one of the most incompetent and head-slappingly stupid moves any administration ever undertook, Biden officials apparently turned over a list of names of Americans and Afghans that assisted the U.S. military over to the Taliban.
POLITICO exclusively reports:
U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport, a choice that’s prompted outrage behind the scenes from lawmakers and military officials.
The move, detailed to POLITICO by three U.S. and congressional officials, was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaos erupted in Afghanistan’s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country. It also came as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport.
Biden passed a list of names of Americans and American allies despite the fact that the Taliban allowed two suicide bombers through checkpoints who ended up murdering 13 American military service members.
At a subsequent press conference where Biden acted tired, confused and defeated, Biden did not deny that his government handed over an inventory of potential hostages and assassination targets to a group that once gave aid and comfort to Osama bin Laden as Al Qaeda plotted the 9/11 terror attacks.
“There have been occasions when our military has contacted their military counterparts in the Taliban and said this, for example, this bus is coming through with X number of people on it, made up of the following group of people. We want you to let that bus or that group through,” he said. “So, yes there have been occasions like that. To the best of my knowledge, in those cases, the bulk of that has occurred and they have been let through,” Biden began.
“I can’t tell you with any certitude that there’s actually been a list of names,” Biden continued. “There may have been. But I know of no circumstance. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist, that here’s the names of 12 people, they’re coming, let them through. It could very well have happened.”
There were reports that Taliban death squads went door-to-door looking for Afghans that worked with the American military.
Biden reportedly handed the Taliban a kill list.
And Biden also provided the Taliban a potential list of American hostages as part of this poorly planned withdrawal.
