Under Joe Biden, America is getting bombarded with bad news on every front.
Biden’s tried to ride out multiple crises by saying as little as possible and hoping his allies in the media cover it all up.
And Joe Biden tried to hide this five-million-dollar ransom payment to Russians.
The Biden administration was asleep at the switch when the Russian hacker group DarkSide launched a ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline which carries nearly half the fuel for the East Coast.
Colonial shutdown operations for several days and 17 states and D.C. declared a state of emergency as a result when gas shortages caused 1970s-style lines at the pump as stations across the Southeast ran out of fuel.
Gas also spiked as high as seven dollars a gallon in Virginia due to the pipeline shutdown.
Reports surfaced that Colonial paid DarkSide a five-million-dollar ransom payment to end the attack and get the pipeline running back on normal operations.
After the crisis reached critical mass, Biden delivered remarks from the White House about the gas shortages.
Upon the conclusion of his speech, reporters asked Biden if Colonial paid a ransom.
Biden refused to comment.
Subsequent reporting made it easier to understand why.
Bloomberg revealed that Colonial paid a five-million-dollar ransom fee to DarkSide, and that the Biden administration was aware of the transaction.
Critics blasted the Biden administration for opening America up to cyber warfare extortion.
The U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists precisely because doing so creates a financial incentive for additional attacks and deaths.
Hackers know the Biden administration will bless ransom payments which have many worried that the power grid and water supply are now under threat.
