Outside of Donald Trump there is no Republican in America Democrats fear more than Ron DeSantis.
Democrats are desperate to tank DeSantis’ re-election campaign.
And now Joe Biden tried to remove Ron DeSantis from office with this secret plan.
Ever since the corporate media smeared President Bush over the response to Hurricane Katrina – the storm devastated Louisiana and the press blamed Bush for the Democrat governor and Democrat mayor of New Orleans’s incompetence – the press salivates over the opportunity to politicize hurricane response in order to damage Republicans.
Category four Hurricane Ian bore down on Tampa Bay – where a hurricane hasn’t made landfall since 1921 – and threatened catastrophic damage and loss of life.
And it looks like the press was preparing the ground to try and destroy DeSantis’ re-election campaign by setting him up to take any blame should something go wrong in the response.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administrator Deanne Criswell told reporters during a press briefing that Joe Biden did not direct her to call Governor DeSantis ahead of the hurricane making landfall.
“You spoke to several mayors down there, one of the mayors said that the primary concerns was complacency,” NBC White House correspondent Peter Alexander began noting the administration coordinated with local Democrat mayors in the counties threatened by the storm. “I’m curious, the president spoke to big leaders. First question to you is about complacency, the second is you’ve spoken to the governor of the state, why hasn’t the president? Is there a scheduled call for the two men to speak obviously as the preeminent leaders of the country and of that state?”
The Washington Post’s Matt Viser asked Criswell about how in previous natural disasters Biden reached out to Republican governors of the affected states.
“In the past, President Biden has made calls to governors in situations of natural disasters, Kay Ivey in Alabama, Asa Hutchinson in Arkansas, or the governor in Texas. Can you articulate how those determinations are made and why it hasn’t been made in this case to have the president call the governor?” Viser began.
Criswell again confirmed that Biden had no contact with DeSantis.
“But he’s made conversations with the mayors, so is there any reason why not the governor?” Viser asked a second time.
“Again, we have a strong team that’s in place supporting the governor right now working side by side with him and his staff. We’ll continue to stay engaged with him,” Criswell answered.
Polls show Ron DeSantis leading his Democrat challenger, Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist.
The press could be setting up a last-ditch effort to derail DeSantis’ re-election campaign by falsely claiming DeSantis mishandled the hurricane by not communicating with the Biden administration – even though Joe Biden himself refused to call DeSantis ahead of the storm or order his chief emergency management aide to coordinate with the governor’s office.
