Joe Biden’s proxy war against Russia continues to escalate and grow more dangerous by the day.
Russian President Vladimir Putin saw Joe Biden’s weakness and senility on display in the horrifically executed withdrawal from Afghanistan and launched an invasion of Ukraine.
Biden responded by funneling $60 billion in weapons to Ukraine with no accountability about where the money and weapons went or whose hands they ended up in.
A proxy ground war in Europe between the two countries with the largest nuclear arsenals in the world led to Joe Biden admitting the world was at the closest point to “nuclear Armageddon” since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
From the early days of the invasion Putin rattled the nuclear saber threatening any country that directly intervened with consequences the likes of which no one had ever seen.
The clear implication was that if a NATO country directly involved itself in Ukraine, Russia would launch a nuclear strike.
As winter sets in and Russia and Ukraine settle in for the long haul Putin issued another nuclear warning saying he may change the country’s nuclear doctrine to openly allow for a first-strike nuclear attack.
“We are just thinking about it. They weren’t shy to openly talk about it during the past years,” Putin stated.
Putin claimed that because America did not disavow a first strike Russia would face a use-it-or-lose-it proposition if America ever thought Russia was prepared for a nuclear launch and fired its missiles to disarm Russia’s nuclear capability.
“Speaking about a disarming strike, maybe it’s worth thinking about adopting the ideas developed by our U.S. counterparts, their ideas of ensuring their security,” Putin added.
“If the potential adversary believes that it can use the theory of a preemptive strike and we don’t, it makes us think about the threats posed by such ideas in other countries’ defensive posture,” Putin continued.
Of course, America would never launch a preemptive nuclear strike.
But Joe Biden so bungled his foreign policy through weakness and incompetence that Putin feels free to see how far he can push the world into accepting his invasion of Ukraine.
“As for the idea that Russia wouldn’t use such weapons first under any circumstances, then it means we wouldn’t be able to be the second to use them either — because the possibility to do so in case of an attack on our territory would be very limited,” Putin added.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also warned that the war in Ukraine could spiral out of control.
“If things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong,” Stoltenberg stated.
The world caught a glimpse of this when Ukraine tried to claim Russia fired a missile into Poland when in reality it was a Ukrainian air defense missile that struck the Polish village after the Ukrainians fired the projectile to shoot down Russian rockets.
Fatigue with funding Joe Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine is setting in.
A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that 45 percent of Republicans think Joe Biden is doing too much to arm Ukraine.
Stoltenberg demanded an open-ended commitment to fund Joe Biden’s proxy war against Russia no matter the cost.
“I understand everyone who is tired of supporting Ukraine. I understand everyone who thinks that food prices and the electricity bills are far too high,” Stoltenberg added. “But we have to pay a much higher price if our freedom and peace are threatened through Putin winning in Ukraine.”
