American communities are facing a rise in crime due to Biden’s open border.
Authorities took down a large-scale, interstate drug trafficking ring.
Joe Biden’s border crisis is expanding as one state warned “the Mexican cartels are here.”
Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown announced that charges would be brought against six individuals for an interstate cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
Authorities seized “15 kilograms of cocaine, 400 grams of crack cocaine, 10 firearms including two assault-style rifles and a fully automatic Glock 30 handgun, and over $493,000 of narcotics proceeds,” according to an official press release by the Attorney General’s Office.
The document alleges that Latrava Kinney, 39; Lawrence Nauls, 45; and Jayson Rhodes, 49, of Houston, Texas served as narcotics and money couriers for a national drug trafficking organization.
“The Mexican cartels are here and their drugs are here in Maryland. They do not care about the well-being of our citizens and they’re flooding and poisoning our neighborhoods with drugs like cocaine, meth, heroin and especially fake pills laced with fentanyl,” said Jarod Forget, DEA special agent in charge of the Washington Division Office, WBALTV reported.
“The flow of narcotics and firearms into our communities must stop,” Brown said, according to the press release. “Disrupting this large-scale, interstate drug trafficking ring is a tremendous step toward restoring peace and public safety, and I thank our partners in this case and applaud their hard work in obtaining these criminal indictments.”
Mexican drug cartels are taking advantage of the waves of illegal immigration at America’s southern border in order to bring dangerous drugs into America.
“Border patrol agents are too busy dealing with the influx of migrants, and are not really focused on looking for fentanyl,” Robert Almonte, a Texas-based security consultant and former deputy chief of the El Paso Police Department, told The New York Post. “Border agents are not getting the support they need from the federal government to stop the flow of fentanyl, which is killing thousands of Americans.”
The CDC estimates that over 107,000 people died of a drug overdose in the 12-month period ending in August 2022. Drug deaths have risen to record rates under Biden.
“We’re losing more people to fentanyl overdoses than guns, suicides and traffic accidents combined,” Almonte told The Post. “This is a crisis. I get mad because I don’t think people get mad enough about what’s happening.”
Yet members of the Biden administration claim that the border is secure.
“The border is secure,” Vice President Kamala Harris lied, under oath, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, insisted that the border was secure, and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that “the border is secure” despite a broken immigration system that “needs to be fixed.”
The Biden administration just lies instead of taking the steps needed to keep America safe.
