Adam Schiff was counting on John Bolton serving as the star witness in the second round of the Democrats’ impeachment witch hunt.
But those plans just imploded.
And that’s because John Bolton made an impeachment admission that had Adam Schiff seeing red.
Radical Democrats rejoiced when they heard rumors of former national security adviser John Bolton’s newest book.
Supposedly, Bolton had detailed numerous facts of corruption in the White House, including moves by President Donald Trump to rig presidential elections.
This news came in the midst of an impeachment trial against the President; one based on lies concocted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Chairman Adam Schiff. They led the radical left in fabricating stories and witness testimonies against Trump.
The most prominent accusation against the President was one where he attempted a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian president, threatening to withhold aid unless they announced an official public investigation into the Biden family, who have ties to a Ukrainian oil firm.
USA Today reports:
According to leaks about the contents of his upcoming book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” Bolton says Trump made it clear he did not want the aid released until Ukraine agreed to help with the investigations.
This led to the approval of two articles of impeachment in the House. And with details of Bolton’s book being released in the midst of a Senate trial, the left thought they finally had Trump cornered.
But they were sorely mistaken.
Bolton refused to testify in the hearing and stated that he would fight a subpoena.
This should have been a red flag for the Democrats that something was amiss, yet they continued to place their faith and their case on Bolton’s book.
This proved to be their downfall, as Trump was acquitted of all charges following a Senate trial.
And now, Bolton has come forward to tell whether or not he feels guilty for not participating in the trial.
WASHINGTON – Former national security adviser John Bolton defended his decision not to testify in the impeachment process against President Donald Trump and said he didn’t believe the result would have been any different if he had.
“People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done,” Bolton said Wednesday during a lecture at Vanderbilt University. “I would bet you a dollar right here and now, my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.
“I sleep at night because I have followed my conscience.”
These are not the words of a man who had valuable information that could be brought against Trump. These are the words of a man who wanted five minutes of fame to promote book sales.
He further drives home that fact by telling those interested in these political matters to pick up a copy of his book.
Two days before saying his testimony would not have changed the outcome of the impeachment trial, Bolton said in an appearance at Duke University that the leaks about the Ukraine portion of his book were “the sprinkles on an ice cream sundae.”
And when asked Monday whether he thought Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “perfect,” as the president often claims, Bolton replied, “You’ll love Chapter 14.”
The left never had a chance of bringing down Trump, and this only drives that home.
