He put out a statement about resignation that shocked everyone in D.C.

John Fetterman’s tenure in the U.S. Senate has been fairly bizarre, causing many people to doubt whether he’s truly qualified to serve.
For starters, he suffered a terrible stroke during his campaign that’s left him with speech and processing issues.
But there is much more to it than simply his medical issues. Fetterman refuses to dress nicely and insists on wearing basketball shorts with a ratty button-down on the Senate floor.
This is unprecedented, as dressing nicely has never been an issue for U.S. Senators. Virtually everyone who has served in that body, no matter how corrupt or nasty of a person, at least had the respect for the institution to show up in a suit and tie.
Now Fetterman has thrown Democrats for a loop once again.
He’s demanded the resignation of Democrat Senator Bob Menendez who was recently caught in a massive bribery scheme.
According to a report from Business Insider, “John Fetterman, the US senator from Pennsylvania, broke with other Democrats in the upper chamber just as one of his colleagues in the House, New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim, announced he was directly challenging Menendez for his seat.”
“’Senator Menendez should resign,’” Fetterman wrote in a post on social media. “‘He’s entitled to the presumption of innocence, but he cannot continue to wield influence over national policy, especially given the serious and specific nature of the allegations.’”
While Fetterman is right in this case, like a broken clock, it is putting Democrat leaders in a difficult spot, as it opens the door for Republicans to take a Senate seat they haven’t held in decades.
This could give Republicans a chance to flip the Senate and stop Biden’s agenda.
And John Fetterman is unwittingly helping them out by calling for the resignation of Menendez, who has been a corrupt politician for years ever since his tenure as Mayor of Union City, New Jersey.
Fetterman continued, “I hope he chooses an honorable exit and focuses on his trial.”
This is a shocking development that’s turned D.C. on its head, as it is extremely rare to see a Senator attack a powerful member of his own party.
But if Fetterman is known for one thing, it is being wildly unpredictable.
