Brett Kavanaugh’s week has been tough.
But after testifying before Congress things are turning around.
And he just got the news he’s been waiting for.
Judge Kavanaugh Lays Down The Facts
Thursday started off looking bleak for Judge Kavanaugh.
His accuser, Christine Blasey Ford spoke to Congress to lay out her claims against the Supreme Court nominee.
Nearing tears she accounted her attempted rape accusation against Kavanaugh.
While her testimony was inconsistent at times, much of America ate it up.
Fox News began siding with her.
They claim she was credible and could take down Kavanaugh.
But that was before Judge Kavanaugh took the stand.
When it was his time, he stormed into the hearing room, looking like a man on a mission.
He sat down and confidently stated that the accusations against him are false.
Kavanaugh outlines why bringing up evidence proving Ford isn’t telling the truth.
And when it came time to answer questions from those on the Senate Intelligence Committee he didn’t hold back.
He laid into Sen. Dianne Feinstein for the way she withheld the accusation.
Mirroring sentiments expressed by President Trump he describes the claims as politically motivated.
Opinion Turning Towards Kavanaugh
His confident testimony is serving him well.
Republicans on the committee joined in his condemnation of the biased investigation.
In a surprising twist, Sen. Lindsey Graham laid into the Democrats on the committee.
Getting to the point of yelling he called out Democrats, calling their investigation an “unethical sham.”
That moment is serving as one of the top highlights.
And it may have been instrumental in a major victory for the Judge.
Kavanaugh has secured necessary votes to pass through committee.
He also has the votes to pass a confirmation vote on the floor.
The holdouts who have flipped are Sens. Jeff Flake, Joe Manchin, and Lisa Murkowski.
This isn’t definitive, but multiple news publications are claiming the reports are true.
Unless something crazy happens, Kavanaugh will take his rightful spot on the Supreme Court.
It’s Not Just A Victory For Kavanaugh
This is a victory for everybody who cares about due process.
Democrats are pushing to remove due process in the case of sexual assault claims.
They believe that you must believe all accusers.
That means that any woman can make a claim against anybody, without any evidence.
While Ford may be telling the truth about somebody attempting to rape her, it is unclear.
And if somebody did in fact attempt to rape her, there is a further lack of evidence that it was Kavanaugh.
But instead of looking into the evidence, Democrats are trying to convict Kavanaugh in the court of public opinion based solely on claims.
While it won’t result in any legal problems for him, it will have a lasting effect.
Kavanaugh will never be seen the same by many people.
Democrats have successfully convinced much of America that Kavanaugh is a sexual predator.
And that isn’t a label that goes away easily.
