Kamala Harris is once again on the hot seat.
Americans are demanding an explanation.
And Kamala Harris now regrets making this decision after a jury’s big guilty verdict.
In early 2019 “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett set off a national firestorm claiming two Trump supporters attacked him at 2 a.m. screaming “this is MAGA country!” and attempting to tie a noose around his neck.
Smollett’s story set off alarm bells for anyone with common sense as Smollett’s story of venturing out to a Subway to get a sandwich at 2 a.m. in freezing temperatures and the idea of racist Trump supporters patrolling the massively Democratic city of Chicago struck any person as absurd.
Police quickly arrested Smollett for faking a hate crime hoax and a jury found Smollett guilty on five of six counts of disorderly conduct for making false statements to police.
Smollett may also face perjury charges as Smollett testified during the trial that he was actually attacked, which prosecutors called a lie.
The jury convicting Smollett focused attention on Kamala Harris’s tweet immediately after the attack.
Harris claimed she believed Smollett on the sheer fact that Harris knew Smollett.
The then-California Senator Kamala Harris posted that the Smollett attack was a “modern-day lynching” and that racist and homophobic Trump supporters were at fault for this attack.
“@JussieSmollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate,” Harris posted on social media.
Harris was not the only prominent Democrat to pounce on the Smollett hate crime hoax as evidence America was an irredeemably racist nation.
Joe Biden expressed 100 percent support for Smollett and attacked America as a hate-filled country.
“What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie,” Biden wrote on Twitter.
Smollett fabricated the whole thing.
The two men that Smollett claimed “attacked him” were Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo who testified that Smollett put the hoax together in order to get media coverage that would boost his acting career.
Any sentient human could tell from the word go that the Smollett “attack” was yet another hate crime hoax.
Yet Kamala Harris and Joe Biden instantly seized on Smollett’s comments to advance their deranged conspiracy theory that America is filled with racist Trump supporters looking to commit domestic terrorism against minorities.
