Kamala Harris’ presidential ambitions continue to disintegrate.
Harris may even have to throw in the towel on a 2024 or 2028 White House bid.
Kamala Harris suffered devastating news when this group of Democrats abandoned her.
Joe Biden felt the heat early on about the self-inflicted crisis at the southern border.
Biden came into office halting construction on the border wall, fighting to end the successful “Remain in Mexico” policy and promising a 100-day pause on virtually all deportations.
Illegal aliens took the hint and rushed the border in record numbers.
Biden looked to deflect blame from himself and named Kamala Harris as his border czar back in March.
Vice presidents exist to take on thankless tasks to deflect public pressure from the president.
But Kamala Harris took failure to an art form.
Harris claimed her role was addressing the root causes of illegal immigration.
As the months dragged on the pace of illegal aliens pouring over the southern border only accelerated.
The number of illegal aliens marching into America reached numbers not seen in two decades with nearly two million illegal aliens flooding the country in 2021.
Americans did not look far to find someone to blame.
A brand-new Trafalgar Group poll asked, “President Biden put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the southern border crisis in March of 2021. How do you rate her job performance so far?”
The numbers were brutal for Kamala Harris with 75 percent of Americans rating her job as border czar as “poor.”
That number included a majority of Democrats – 55 percent – that also rated Harris’ performance as border czar as “poor.”
Breitbart exclusively reports:
Overall, three quarters, 74.9 percent, rated her job performance on the border as “poor,” followed by 12.8 percent who said “excellent,” 6.4 percent who said “good,” and 5.9 percent who said “fair.”
Even a majority of Democrats believe she has done a “poor” job — 54.6 percent — while roughly a quarter say she has done “excellent.”
Independents also judged Harris’ performance as border czar harshly.
“Nearly all Republicans, 93.7 percent, said she has done a “poor” job, as did the vast majority of independent voters, 80.3 percent,” Breitbart also reported.
Donald Trump looks likely to run for president in 2024.
If Joe Biden is too cognitively incapacitated to run for president, Democrats may balk at running Kamala Harris against Trump.
In 2016, Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in large part because Trump hammered Clinton as a carbon copy of Barack Obama’s open borders policies.
Democrats’ number one fear – by far and away – is Donald Trump winning a second term.
And if party leaders think a Trump-Harris matchup will play out as a rerun of the 2016 election, Democrats may look in another direction.
