Kamala Harris is learning she is not the future of the Democrat Party the hard way.
But Harris has one saving grace.

Left-wing ideologue Jonathan Martin of POLITICO published a bombshell piece where a Democrat actually went on the record explaining why party leaders are reluctantly supporting Joe Biden for re-election despite the fact that they all know he is senile is simple — Kamala Harris is a flaming dumpster fire of a clown car as a presidential candidate.
Three-term Minnesota Democrat Congressman Dean Phillips admitted to Martin that Democrats shut up about Biden’s decrepit mental state out of fear they will ruin Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign.
“Nobody wants to be the one to do something that would undermine the chances of a Democratic victory in 2024,” Phillips stated. “Yet in quiet rooms the conversation is just the opposite — we could be at a higher risk if this path is cleared.”
Ambitious Democrats want to run for president in 2028 and party voters would consider anyone who undermined Biden dead on arrival in a presidential primary.
“It’s fear, plain and simple,” Phillips continued. “People are focused on self-preservation and their aspirations.”
Martin wrote that Democrats happily trashed Biden off the record, so their names were not attached to the quotes.
“There was the senator who said few Democrats in the chamber want Biden to run again but that the party had to devise ‘an alignment of interest’ with the president to get him off the ‘narcotic’ of the office; there was the governor who mused about just how little campaigning Biden would be able to do; and there was the House member who, after saying that, of course, Democrats should renominate the president told me to turn off my phone and then demanded to know who else was out there and said Harris wasn’t an option,” Martin added.
And the reason Democrats are resigning themselves to Biden running when he is clearly senile is because they know that despite the fact that Harris has a 39 percent approval rating Harris will win a primary because Democrats can’t criticize Harris because of her race and gender.
“More to the point, Democrats have seen what happens when anyone in their party openly criticizes Harris — they’re accused by activists and social-media critics of showing, at best, racial and gender insensitivity. This doesn’t stifle concerns about her prospects, of course, it just pushes them further underground or into the shadows of background quotes,” Martin stated.
When Biden ran he pledged to be a transition candidate to the next generation of Democrat Party leaders.
But no one wants to willingly give up power.
Joe Biden only picked Harris because putting a black woman on the ticket could soothe the anger of the woke base about having to line up behind an old, straight, white man.
And Joe Biden picking a complete incompetent like Harris on the basis of identity politics turned out to be Joe Biden’s ultimate failsafe.
