The mainstream media twisted facts in order to hurt Donald Trump’s reelection chances.
But President Trump helped achieve a historic victory.
Kayleigh McEnany gave CNN a shocking fact-check every American should hear.
The mainstream media said that Donald Trump was over-optimistic in his coronavirus predictions.
They claimed that it would be impossible to get the vaccines out by the year’s end.
The FDA released new guidelines in October that ensured that the vaccines wouldn’t be available before the election.
They made a new rule requiring vaccine trials to follow up with more than half the trial participants after two months in order to get approval for the vaccine.
The new rules made certain that there wouldn’t be a vaccine approved until the end of November.
“New FDA Rules make it more difficult for them to speed up vaccines for approval before Election Day. Just another political hit job!” the President wrote on October 6th.
Yet even with the delays, Trump was correct that there would be a vaccine by the end of the year.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany fact-checked the media on Tuesday because they claimed that it would be near impossible to get a vaccine in that amount of time.
“Yesterday, the United States witnessed a medical miracle,” McEnany said. “The first doses of a COVID vaccine were administered to frontline workers across the country. The President promised a safe and effective vaccine in record time, and President Trump delivered.”
“Earlier this year, we heard from several news outlets and so-called fact checks that President Trump would need, ‘a miracle,’ to be right. That was an NBC News article,” she continued. “We were told, according to Healthline, ‘A vaccine will still take more than a year to develop.’ USA Today warned us that, ‘Despite medical researchers’ progress, the vaccine,’ quote, ‘was more than a year away.’ And National Geographic even told us that achieving a vaccine within, ‘a year to 18 months would be absolutely unprecedented.’”
“These reports deserve their own fact check: False,” she continued. “President Trump has not only been the optimist, hopeful to achieve a vaccine by year’s end. He has also been a leader. Through Operation Warp Speed, President Trump, the businessman and the President, as the innovator, has succeeded.”
The Trump team not only thought about vaccine development, they also had a plan to try and get a vaccine to vulnerable Americans as fast as possible.
President Trump has “directed industrial scale manufacturing of vaccines to take place” before vaccines were proved effective so that the vaccines could be distributed as soon as they were FDA-approved.
The mainstream media will try their best to ignore this fact, but America still owes Trump a huge “thank you” for his bold plan.
