Hillary Clinton has lost most of her friends since the 2016 election.
Very few people are willing to defend her anymore.
And the last person you’d ever expect just turned on Hillary and destroyed her.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used to be the most admired politician in the United States. It’s hard to remember, but there was a long period where Hillary Clinton was looked up to and admired.
But, as anyone not living under a rock knows, the 2016 election ruined that for her.
As a Presidential candidate, Donald Trump made it his goal to destroy her reputation, and his tough campaigning against her is often credited as the reason he won.
The largest bit of ammunition Trump had to go after Hillary was her use of a private email server to send and receive classified information.
Hillary Clinton’s email scandal encapsulated the campaign, turning most of American against her.
But while it was bad on her reputation, it wasn’t as bad for her as it could have been. She was nearly indicted for her actions that put national security at risk.
The only reason she wasn’t indicted was that then-FBI Director James Comey chose not to indict her.
While he made harsh statements against her in a press conference, he used his discretion to not indict her.
It is widely believed that the only reason that Comey did not criminally charge Hillary was her Presidential campaign against Trump, who Comey was not a fan of.
So while some Democrats were upset at the harsh language Comey used to describe Hillary Clinton’s conduct, Comey went extremely easy on Hillary, essentially giving her a slap on the wrist.
But based on recent comments made by Comey, if the decision was up to him today, he likely would not have gone so easy on her.
It all began with a tweet from Hillary Clinton in response to another tweet. She was responding to a tweet about how James Comey used a personal email account to conduct official FBI business while serving as FBI Director. Hillary responded making a joke about her use of a private email server.

Comey fired back in an interview with German newspaper Die Zeit, making his frustration with Hillary’s lack of understanding what the investigation against her was about.
“It was not about her use of a personal email system, and she didn’t get that during the investigation because she used to say ‘Colin Powell when he was secretary of state used AOL,’ that was not what it was about,” Comey explained. “It was about communicating about classified topics on that system when those topics have to be done on a classified system.”
So essentially Comey is making it clear that what he did was not illegal, as he was not sending classified emails, but what Hillary was doing was, as there were classified emails sent through her private email account.
The government has specific email systems created to send and receive classified information. A standard email client or private server isn’t insured by government software designed to protect the information.
Sending classified information through a private email account opens up the possibility of malicious hackers gaining the information.
So Hillary Clinton’s snarky comment relating to Comey’s use of a private email account is completely misguided and shows just how little she learned from the email investigation that many credit as the reason she lost the Presidency.
