They say they’re for the people.
They thought they had the people on their side.
But now, this latest poll bears only bad news for the left.
The media has been going on and on about the BLM movement’s effort to eliminate the police entirely.
They claim that the protesters are doing this for the majority of black people who agree with them.
However, the numbers would say otherwise.
In a city-wide survey of Washington D.C., Gallup took a poll on Americans’ opinions of the police and if they would like to see an increase in police activity in their neighborhoods.
They found that over 80 percent of black Americans would like to see the police activity to stay the same or increase.
“Over 80 percent of black Americans want the police to spend as much or more time in their neighborhoods as they currently do, new polling from Gallup conducted last month finds.
Asked if they would prefer police spend more, less, or the same amount of time in their neighborhoods, 61 percent of black respondents told Gallup the same, while a further 20 percent said more. Just 19 percent said less. Black respondents were more likely to want more police presence than white, Asian, and all adults overall.”
Additionally, they found that:
“The slightly elevated frequency with which Black Americans see police in their neighborhood has limited impact on their preferences for changing the local police presence. About a third of Black Americans who say they often see the police in their neighborhood think the police should spend less time there (34%); however, the majority of adults in this group think they should spend the same amount of time (56%) or more time (10%).
“Black Americans’ desire for reduced police presence drops to 16% for those who ‘sometimes’ see the police and to 8% for those who rarely or never see the police.”
These numbers tell a very different story than the mainstream media.
The media claims the majority of black Americans want the police eradicated.
But this is simply not the case.
The vast majority of black Americans want the police to continue to do their jobs.
They want to feel safe in their communities, in their places of work, and in their lives.
While there is still some discomfort to overcome, the facts are simple.
Americans – black, white, or other – want to be safe. And they know the police can offer them that safety.
Gallup summed up their findings in a way that all Americans, especially the radical protesters, need to hear.
“Most Black Americans want the police to spend at least as much time in their area as they currently do, indicating that they value the need for the service that police provide.”
The radical left wants everyone to believe that what they do is for the people. Their riots are for the people, the destruction of property is for the people, on and on.
If they can convince everyone of this, then they can – and will – get away with anything.
Instead of listening to their empty words and violent promises, Americans should find the truth and work to restore order amidst the chaos.
