CNN is failing fast.
The company just announced yet another round of massive layoffs.
And this time, yet another liberal media hack has been fired by the network.
CNN is in the middle of a crisis unlike anything seen before in the history of the network.
With the company failing to retain its audience after Donald Trump left office, the network has fallen off a cliff in a major way.
CNN’s earnings recently dipped below a billion dollars in 2022, and there are no signs that the decline is slowing down any time soon.
As a result, executives at CNN’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery have taken an axe to the network in a bid to try and stem the losses and turn the ship around before it is too late.
But the task that lays before Warner Bros. is an immense one, as CNN’s reputation is in the gutter after years of extreme left-wing media bias from the network and its hosts.
As a result, the prime target for most of the media layoffs at CNN have primarily been liberal pundits who have spent years masquerading as objective news anchors.
First, Brian Stelter was fired.
And then Don Lemon was removed from CNN’s primetime lineup.
Now, CNN just announced yet another round of huge layoffs that are seeing even more liberals being let go from the network.
Variety reports, “In a memo sent to staffers Thursday, CNN CEO Chris Licht said the news operation ‘will be reducing open job positions, reimagining our workflows and aligning our staffing, investments and focus around three key strategic priorities: programming, newsgathering and digital. All decisions are designed to strengthen the core of our business.’”
The latest round of job cuts at CNN come at a time when it is now being openly debated whether or not the network will even survive in the next five years.
With more Americans walking away from cable television altogether, and even more walking away from CNN after years of extreme left-wing coverage, it’s little surprise that the network is having to announce one round of job cuts after another.
“Meanwhile, CNN correspondents Alison Kosik, Martin Savidge, Alex Field, Mary Ann Fox and Chris Cillizza are among the staffers who have been let go, according to two people familiar with the matter. A CNN spokesperson declined to comment,” adds Variety.
The firing of Chris Cillizza represents yet another liberal media hack being let go from the company, which has to date fired numerous left-wing pundits from the network in just 2022 alone.
However, it’s not yet clear when the job firings will come to an end at CNN, as Warner Bros. is working to try and restore the network’s historical probability margins.
And by trying to pivot away from liberal propaganda towards objective journalism, it could require even more layoffs to succeed.
But even layoffs may not be enough to achieve this pivot that CNN is attempting.
That’s because the American people simply do not trust what CNN has to say any longer.
Like many news outlets, CNN has completely lost whatever reputation it used to have.
And while it takes years to build a positive reputation, it only takes a handful of days to lose it completely.
