Ever since leaving office as Vice President, Joe Biden has wanted to get back into the political arena.
It is highly speculated that he will run for President in 2020.
But that might change after he got the worst news of his life delivered in his own hometown.
After leaving office, former Vice President Joe Biden chose to take the same path as countless politicians by releasing a book. After the 2016 election, he wasn’t alone in doing that, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama and disgraced former FBI Director James Comey all released books during the same period.
Biden’s book is a memoir, titled “Promise Me, Dad,” and along with its release, he is on a book tour across the country to discuss the book. At a recent stop in Joe Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Delaware he was expecting a gracious crowd.
This is the city that he grew up in, in the state that he represented as Senator for many years. But despite that, not everyone in the crowd was happy to see him.
While discussing sexual assault, a man in the crowd stood up and asked him
“What about the girls you molested on C-SPAN at the Senate swearing in?”
This resulting in an uproar in the crowd, with insults being thrown at the man standing up, who was quickly forced to leave the speech Biden was giving. As he was being escorted out, the former Vice President responded, saying:
“This is not Trump world.”
The entire encounter was videoed and posted to Twitter.

According to those in attendance, the man was seated directly behind former U.S. Rep. Mike Castle and Joe Biden’s sister Valerie Biden.
The man on video was referring to a series of videos taken during the swearing in of Congressman and Senators where Biden was accused of acting inappropriately with young girls. During the swearing-in ceremony, Biden could be seen getting very close to a number of young girls, making them appear visibly uncomfortable.
While this brought about intense scrutiny, most supporters of Biden dismissed it as Biden just being quirky, and it didn’t get much mainstream attention.
But in the wake of the #MeToo movement, some are calling for a closer look into those situations, and any other possible situation Joe Biden may have made young girls uncomfortable. It is not unheard of for powerful men, and even politicians to find themselves in sexual misconduct cases.
Just last year Sen. Al Franken was forced to resign after sexual misconduct allegations came out against him. Franken was seen as one of the most prominent Democrats in the entire Senate but was not above scrutiny.
Along with Franken, other powerful men such as film producer Harvey Weinstein have seen a fall from grace after accusations of sexual assault, and later rape charges were thrown at him.
In the wake of the #MeToo movement, Biden may realize that running for office is not a good idea for him. This interruption at a book tour stop may just be a sign for him.
