Ever since Trump’s Russia press conference, the media hasn’t wasted a second smearing the president.
But one person who isn’t going to allow them to get away with it is Mark Levin.
And he just obliterated the media with one genius point about Russia.
There are few people who can lay out conservative principles as well as Mark Levin. Since the election of Donald Trump he has been a strong ally, and has defended the president time and time again.
Following Trump’s press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Levin came out yet again in support of Trump, and at the same time obliterated the media.
Speaking with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Levin blasted the backlash the media has levied against Trump in response to the meeting, calling them “psychopaths.”
“What we’ve learned about the media, several of the hosts and guests, is we have a lot of psychopaths out there, that’s for sure,” Levin told host Sean Hannity. He also declared that the media has had “more positions on Russia than Stormy Daniels.”
Levin then declared that if Trump had walked into the press conference and blasted Putin for meddling in the 2016 election, the Democrats and media would still be attacking him.
In reality, there was no way for President Trump to gain positive coverage in the media after his meeting. It really was a lose-lose for the president in the eyes of the press, but Trump doesn’t represent the press, so that didn’t matter to him.
President Donald Trump has made it clear that it is his intention to represent the American people, not represent the political establishment or the media.
That was the reason he was elected, because the people were tired of the establishment-pleasing politics of Barack Obama that they were destined to get under Hillary Clinton.
Trump has made his opposition to the media very clear, calling the “enemy of the American people.” Mark Levin is simply using that same rhetoric to back the president’s war against the mainstream media.
Thankfully the American people are no longer listening to the media anyway. CNN and MSNBC have been steadily declining in views, while Fox News, which has been seen as the more fair source of coverage, has been seeing skyrocketing viewership.
In response to the press conference, polling also shows that the American people continue to stand with Trump.
An Axios poll released this week shows that 79 percent of Republicans approve of Trump’s press conference with Putin. There are few issues that boost approval numbers that high.
So while the media continues to blast Trump, the people are seeing through their lies. With every attack that is levied against Trump it seems that he only gets more support.
President Trump currently holds the highest party approval rating in history at this current point in the presidency, with the exception of George W. Bush who had a post-9/11 boost in approval.
