Ilhan Omar’s record is catching up with her.
And now she’s under fire for yet another outrageous attack on Jewish Americans.
This time, Mike Pence just destroyed Omar with these six devastating words.
Ilhan Omar has had one of the worst months in Washington.
After narrowly escaping Congressional action against her for her seemingly endless remarks attacking the loyalties of Jewish Americans and the State of Israel, Omar is now embroiled in yet another controversy.
This time however, she picked a fight with someone she instantly regretted.
Omar had organized a large-scale Democratic boycott of the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference, claiming the organization unduly influences American foreign policy to the detriment of the United States.
Her efforts managed to keep eight Democratic candidates seeking their party’s presidential nomination from attending.
Of course, Omar’s real goal here is just to continue to beat down on Jewish Americans, who she holds in utter contempt and who she has suggested aren’t really Americans.
But, Omar wasn’t expecting Vice President Mike Pence to slam her comments right back in her face.
The Daily Caller has the story, “Vice President Mike Pence criticized Democratic presidential candidates who opted not to attend this year’s American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference during his speech at the event Monday.”
At his speech, Pence pulled no punches. The Vice President took the opportunity to decimate Omar’s remarks and call out her outrageous behavior.
“As I stand before you, eight Democratic candidates for president are actually boycotting this very conference,” Pence said. “So let me be clear on this point: Anyone who aspires to the highest office in the land should not be afraid to stand with the strongest supporters of Israel in America. It is wrong to boycott Israel, and it is wrong boycott AIPAC.”
Pence drew a sharp contrast behind the antics of Democrats like Omar and the Trump administration.
“President Trump and I are proud to stand with all of you — today, tomorrow and always — to strengthen the ties that bind America and Israel,” the Vice President concluded.
The eight Democratic presidential candidates who have skipped this year’s conference include Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Julian Castro, Beto O’Rourke, Kirsten Gillibrand, Jay Inslee, and Kamala Harris.
To make matters even worse for Democrats like Omar, it’s obvious that the decision to boycott this year’s conference was entirely political in nature.
Several of the Democratic candidates had previously attended the conference, and some like Harris, Gillibrand, Booker, and Klobuchar have even spoken at the conference.
In their efforts to pander to radicals within their own party, spearheaded by people like Ilhan Omar, these candidates chose to intentionally avoid a conference they used to attend, all because it focuses on Israel’s relationship with the United States.
No matter how you try to spin this, that’s wrong.
Do you think that the Democrats running for President should have attended this conference?
