Wednesday night, the House of Representatives gave a historical and unprecedented vote.
The vote resulted in the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
And Mitch McConnell just gave a shocking announcement on the status of the impeachment vote.
Last Wednesday was a day that will go down in history.
The House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump, making him the third ever United States President to be impeached.
But everyone involved in the vote knew that the impeachment inquiry was a sham.
House Republicans unanimously stood together against the lies of Chairman Adam Schiff, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the rest of the corrupt Democrats.
Some on the left even broke party lines to stand against the injustice being committed against the President.
And with both articles of impeachment passed in the House, the next step is to send the case to trial in the Senate.
But Democrats know that the trial will never pass in the Republican-held Senate.
And Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just gave a shocking announcement on the status of the impeachment vote.
McConnell announced Thursday that he has reached an “impasse” with Chuck Schumer over moving forward with the Senate trial.
Schumer is not cooperating with McConnell regarding the rules relating to a trial, and the two have publicly argued against what proceedings this trial should take.
House Democrats are currently refusing to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate unless McConnell agrees to their rules and view of what a fair trial should look like.
Schumer is even calling for witnesses that were not a part of the initial hearing, to ensure the trial is biased towards the left.
“We remain at an impasse, because my friend, the Democratic leader, continues to demand a new and different set of rules for President Trump,” McConnell said Thursday. “He wants to break from the unanimous bipartisan precedent and force an all our nothing approach.”
Schumer refuses to move forward with a trial in the Senate unless he can have more witnesses to testify against Trump, including former national security adviser John Bolton, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, and two unnamed witnesses related to White House dealings with Ukraine.
These witnesses had already declined to testify in the House’s hearing.
“I admit, I’m not sure what leverage there is from refraining from sending us something we do not want,” McConnell said of Pelosi’s decision to delay sending articles to the Senate. “But alas, if they can figure that out, they can explain it.”
Democrats are merely trying to delay the inevitable by refusing to send the articles to the Senate.
They know that the Republican-controlled Senate would quickly acquit the President of all charges and allow him to remain in office.
Trump remaining in office ruins any chance of the left winning the 2020 presidential election.
Trump will win re-election against the Democrats and continue to remain in office despite the left’s schemes.
