Robert Mueller has a November surprise.
One that has the entire political class in waiting with bated breath.
But Mueller is keeping it quiet.
Mueller’s Silence Has Everyone Guessing
Most media outlets are reporting Mueller is remaining quiet.
That’s because the period where he can release his findings into the witch hunt against Trump is quickly approaching.
Some analysts wondered if he would make an announcement prior to the midterms.
But unlike former F.B.I. Director James Comey, Mueller is trying to stay out of the elections.
James Comey rocked the 2016 elections not once, but twice.
First, he cleared Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing that summer.
Then he announced he was considering reopening the case days before the election.
But Mueller is taking a different stance.
He’s letting the midterm elections play out.
Is Mueller playing politics with the Russia probe?
Bloomberg reported Mueller is expected to publish two reports.
The first will detail any evidence of Russian collusion with the 2016 election.
The second is regarding Trump’s actions within the D.O.J. study.
If Mueller produces any evidence of Russian collusion or obstruction of justice, it could be the end for Trump.
But only if Democrats take control of Congress and impeach him.
Critics argue this has gone on too long.
And that if there is no evidence, it should be released now.
Mueller terrorized Trump and his associates for over a year and a half.
Yet he has failed to produce just one indictment for collusion.
If Mueller had evidence against Trump, it’s almost a certainty it’d be leaked by now.
Democrats would love for nothing more than to have the fake news media covering it.
And Trump is ready for it to end.
Is there voter fatigue from the Mueller probe?
GOP strategists have written off the Russia collusion myths altogether.
One conservative operative agrees.
Rory McShane said voters have become “anesthetized” to the fake news media scandal.
And one staffer wishes Democrats would campaign on it.
“One of the problems Republicans face is that the Democrats quit harming themselves with Russia and actually started talking to voters about things that matter,” said former RNC staffer Mike Shields.
Everything for Trump and Mueller Could Change After the Midterms
One important event is weeks away.
That’s the midterm elections.
Democrats are fighting to regain control of the House and Senate.
And if they do either, it will be bad news for Trump and good news for Mueller.
Democrats are grasping to anything they can use to harm Trump.
While Mueller doesn’t have much, he is often seen as their last hope.
If they regain control, protecting him will be a major priority.
But if Republicans do well, Mueller will be done for.
Trump will have already proven himself, and that the American people stand with him.
He will also have a Congress that won’t fight to protect Mueller.
