Throughout Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump, the media has sided with Mueller time and time again.
They have refused to even consider that Mueller could be wrong, or that he himself could be doing anything wrong.
But soon they may be forced to change that after a conflict of interest brings Mueller’s investigation crashing down.
In the eyes of the left, Robert Mueller’s investigation is simple. They are so convinced that Trump colluded with Russia that all Mueller needs to do is uncover some elusive smoking gun, and then Trump will be removed from office.
To anybody who has actually followed the investigation, it is far from simple. From the beginning, it has been shady.
The origins of the investigation were especially shady. To recap, former FBI Director James Comey used the now-infamous and debunked Russia dossier to spy on the Trump campaign.
He then later used that dossier, and the fact that Trump was spied on, to give Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein justification to begin the Russia investigation into Trump and his campaign.
There was a lot more that played into it, but those are the major points of interest. And as can be easily noted, former FBI Director James Comey was directly involved at every step of the way.
This point becomes more and more important with each day that goes by in the investigation. That is because Robert Mueller and James Comey have been long-time friends, long before they took up posts in the Justice Department.
With Comey being such an important figure in the origins of the Russia investigation, Mueller’s friendship with him could be enough to bring down the entire investigation or at least force Mueller out of his post.
In legal proceedings, conflicts of interests are an important thing to squash out as early as possible. That is how things are done in jury trials, where jurors are brought in, vetted in order to find bias, and removed if need be.
That would be the same case with a judge proceeding over a case involving a close friend. That judge would not be trusted in that situation, so why is Robert Mueller?
But while Mueller’s relationship with Comey could be a conflict of interest, it isn’t the only conflict of interest. Robert Mueller’s legal team is made up almost entirely of Democrats, who President Trump has referred to as the “13 angry Democrats.”
Mueller’s legal team being stacked with Democrats is likely a conflict of interest due to the partisan nature of the investigation. It has changed from being a quest for the truth to instead being a last-ditch effort to take down the President.
With the investigation being in its second year with no evidence connecting Trump to any collusion; it becomes clear that Mueller is simply trying to hurt Trump.
With the 2018 midterm elections just months away, every day that the investigation continues hurts Republicans.
Democrats are using the investigation as proof that the entire Trump movement was based on a lie, and that he was only elected because of the Russians.
They are hoping that they can trick voters into believing them and to oppose pro-Trump Republicans.
Do you think that Mueller’s connection to James Comey is a conflict of interest?
