But she was backed into a corner and forced to admit it to the whole world.
No one in the Democrat Party wants to admit just how bad homelessness and crime has gotten in San Francisco.
The city is a dumpster fire and it just keeps getting worse.
Violent crime is through the roof and property destruction is an everyday occurrence. People who own cars in San Francisco experience break-ins routinely. Nobody is safe.
Of course, as one of the longest-tenured politicians in the city, Nancy Pelosi is one of the primary people responsible for the city’s horrifying decline.
She has tried to pretend that everything is fine, but people can see with their own two eyes what is happening, and it is not good.
Now she finds herself being forced to make a radical change in order to keep public employees safe, and in the process of doing so, she has admitted how bad the problem really is.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, “The Biden administration urged hundreds of government employees in San Francisco to stop coming to work at the Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building due to safety concerns.”
“The 18-story building, which houses various federal agencies and former House speaker Pelosi’s office, sits adjacent to the city’s Tenderloin district, a notorious haven for drug-addled vagrants and other violent criminals.”
“Pelosi reportedly raised concerns about the safety of the building’s tenants, including members of her staff, in a recent meeting with the U.S. attorney’s office.”
There’s no pretending anymore. Pelosi knows how bad San Francisco has gotten, and she is keeping her staff far away from the violence, drugs, and chaos.
Of course, if you are a San Francisco resident who is not on Nancy Pelosi’s staff, you are completely on your own.
Pelosi’s office put out a statement that read: “The safety of workers in our federal buildings has always been a priority for Speaker Emerita Pelosi, whether in the building or on their commutes. Federal, state, and local law enforcement—in coordination with public health officials and stakeholders—are working hard to address the acute crises of fentanyl trafficking and related violence in certain areas of the city.”
That statement is nonsense, considering Pelosi has fought hard against keeping the streets of San Francisco safe, preferring to instead fighting for a radical progressive pro-crime agenda.
Actions speak louder than words. Nancy Pelosi knows how dangerous San Francisco has become, and she wants to protect her staff – but she isn’t concerned about the safety of any of her other constituents.
