Joe Biden spent days relaxing while the Taliban takes over Afghanistan.
Yet Democrats are still patting each other on the back.
Nancy Pelosi gave Biden a piece of unthinkable praise in the middle of a disaster.
President Joe Biden overruled his top military officials when he ordered to completely pull out of Afghanistan.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Biden met with several top military commanders who recommended that Biden leave a force of 2,500 servicemen in the country.
Even CNN said that the “exit was ineptly planned.”
The Taliban has taken control of Afghanistan’s capital city, Kabul, and is already reportedly going door-to-door looking for members of the former government or anyone who worked with America.
“Taliban started door to door search looking for govt officials, former police & security forces members & those who worked for foreign countries NGOs or infrastructures in Afghanistan. At least 3 journalists’ houses were searched in the last hour. Kabul is now becoming deadly,” one Kabul-based journalist tweeted on Monday. “This is a game-changer for us all. Many have started counting their final hours of life in Kabul. Nobody knows what happens next. Pray for us.”
Sen. Tom Cotton posted on Twitter for American citizens in Kabul who need help to call his office.
His office told The New York Times that he had received calls from “multiple U.S. citizens” requiring help reportedly trapped behind Taliban security checkpoints.
People will pay with their lives for the politically motivated decisions that Biden made, going against his generals’ advice.
Biden is now sending 7,000 troops into the country to organize a retreat.
It’s easy to see that organizing a retreat should have happened before we pulled out our troops.
America should have made sure that U.S. citizens and our allies were evacuated before leaving.
The Biden administration is scrambling to try and evacuate thousands of Afghans who worked with American troops.
And yet Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said that Biden is “to be commended” in an issued statement on the situation in Afghanistan.
“The Taliban must know that the world is watching its actions. We are deeply concerned about reports regarding the Taliban’s brutal treatment of all Afghans, especially women and girls. The U.S., the international community, and the Afghan government must do everything we can to protect women and girls from inhumane treatment by the Taliban,” Pelosi said.
She couldn’t finish without praising Biden yet again.
“Once again, I want to acknowledge the clarity of purpose of President Biden’s statement and the wisdom of his actions. Congress shares the President’s concern for Afghans who have assisted U.S. efforts in country, and we passed Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) legislation to provide for their relocation on a strong, bipartisan basis.” Pelosi added.
