President Donald Trump is unlike any other President in modern history.
He is actually doing the things he said he would.
And Nancy Pelosi was a nervous wreck after Trump gave her the news she fears.
There is no issue that President Trump has made more noise about than his plan to build a wall on the Southern border.
It is the exact type of bold action that made people vote for him in the first place.
But despite the wall being very popular, Democrats have been working overtime to stop Trump from getting this win.
There have been numerous lawsuits, along with the longest government shutdown in history, all with the goal of stopping the President.
But Trump is still pushing forward.
After the shutdown, Trump was able to gain $1.375 billion of the $5 billion he was requesting for the wall.
In reality, even $5 billion is not enough, with numbers showing that the wall would actually cost closer to $10 billion.
But Trump is working with what he has and ended up declaring a state of emergency to gain an additional $3.6 billion in wall funding, through military construction projects.
And after months of Democrats trying to shut him down, reports have come out stating that Trump is calling lawmakers in affected districts to tell them that they will begin building the wall this week.
This is the one piece of news that Trump supporters have been waiting for, and that left-wing politicians like Nancy Pelosi fear more than anything.
The military funds Trump is re-allocating are going to go towards not just the wall itself, but for other immigration enforcement measures, as was announced in August of this year.
For instance, about $116 million of the funds are to add more beds to detention centers, along with going towards transportation of migrants to ICE detention facilities.
Another $115 million will go towards funding to support judicial proceedings for asylum seekers in Mexico, to stop them from flooding into the U.S.
“This realignment of resources allows DHS to address ongoing border emergency crisis by alleviating the surge along the Nation’s Southwest Border while minimizing the risk to overall DHS mission performance,” Homeland Security said in an August statement.
So Trump is not only working to get his wall done, but he is ensuring that those being detained are held in good conditions.
And despite Democrats complaining about conditions in the detention facilities, they are infuriated by Trump’s plan to have the military help with construction.
“It is a slap in the face to the members of the Armed Forces who serve our country that President Trump is willing to cannibalize already allocated military funding to boost his own ego and for a wall he promised Mexico would pay to build,” Senate Minority Leader Schumer said in a statement.
If there’s one thing Trump can do to keep the American people safe, it’s building a wall on the border.
Do you agree with Trump’s plan to build a wall?
