Nancy Pelosi was terrified her opportunity to remove Donald Trump would slip through her fingers.
The Mueller report exposed the Russian collusion hoax and Democrats were left scrambling.
But then Nancy Pelosi heard the six words about impeachment that she was waiting for.
Congressional Democrats – led by Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and Elijah Cummings –are going full-boar after Donald Trump’s finances.
Cummings and Waters have subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and Capital One to force them to turn over President Trump’s private financial records.
These are subpoenas, not real investigations or legitimate Congressional oversight.
They are partisan fishing expeditions where Democrats hope they can hit pay dirt on turning up embarrassing revelations they can use to either impeach the President or defeat him in the 2020 campaign.
But Donald Trump is fighting back.
His lawyers filed a lawsuit to block Deutsche Bank and Capital One from complying with the Democrats’ subpoenas.
President Trump drawing a red line in the sand – as well as Robert Mueller clearing him of charges of Russian collusion and not bringing any obstruction of justice charges – dashed Nancy Pelosi’s and the Democrats’ impeachment dreams.
But then Joe Biden happened.
In a sit down on Good Morning America with fake news reporter Robin Roberts –who previously allowed actor Jussie Smollet to lie about being attacked by racist Trump supporters without offering any pushback – Biden kicked the door wide open to impeachment.
Biden claimed that if Trump resisted Democrats’ attempts to fish through his finances then Congress should proceed with impeachment.
“The Congress is attempting to take that up, and what the Congress should do, and they are doing, is investigate that,” Biden told ABC. “If, in fact, they (Trump and associates) blocked the investigation, they (Congress) have no alternative, but to go to the only other constitutional resort they have is impeachment.”
Trump has every intention of fighting these fake investigations.
Even RINOs like ‘Never Trump’ Senator Lindsey Graham think Trump should push back.
“Obstruction of justice to me is absurd because the President cooperated fully,” Graham told CNN’s Manu Raj. “So if the House wants to keep doing this, if I were the President I’d fight like hell.”
Graham also told CNN that the Mueller report and its findings of no collusion ended this farce.
“The Mueller report is the last and final word on everything (about) Trump’s campaign for me,” Graham concluded.
Biden knew this was the tact Republicans would take.
It is the one he would take if he was President.
And it is the one the Obama administration took when Republicans controlled Congress.
Congress held Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of court for refusing to turn over documents relating to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.
Biden made his comments to give Pelosi and the Democrats political cover to move on impeachment so that way the Democrats can claim they were pushed into doing so and Biden does not have to disavow this effort and alienate Democrat voters.
