Nancy Pelosi’s hypocrisy has hit her in a huge way.
There’s no way that she can justify her radical political schemes.
Nancy Pelosi threw a fit when she saw a massive gift at her door.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi claims to be a devout Catholic.
Yet she’s willing to go directly against the Catholic Church’s teaching that abortion is murder.
“Abortion is more than an issue. Abortion is homicide,” Pope Francis said definitively last month. “It’s a homicide. No middle terms. Whomever does an abortion, kills.”
Despite that Pelosi is trying to pass legislation which would codify Roe v. Wade and stop states from passing their own legislation.
Her stated goal is to “enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America.”
Pelosi thinks that she should have the right to force more conservative states to have the same laws as California and New York.
In response, Catholics delivered one thousand roses Friday to Pelosi’s California office in an effort to touch her heart.
More than 3,550 people signed up to pray and fast for Pelosi through the Benedict XVI Institute’s “Rose and Rosary for Nancy” in just the first 24 hours, Maggie Gallagher, executive director of the Benedict XVI Institute, said in a press release.
Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone of San Francisco said in a statement that Pelosi needed “a conversion.”
“I am therefore inviting all Catholics to join in a massive and visible campaign of prayer and fasting for Speaker Pelosi: commit to praying one rosary a week and fasting on Fridays for her conversion of heart,” Cordileone continued. “Please sign up for the ‘Rose and Rosary for Nancy’ campaign at BenedictInstitute.org, and a rose will be sent to her as a symbol of your prayer and fasting for her.”
So many Catholics signed up to pray that the effort couldn’t send all the roses to Pelosi at once.
The Benedict XVI Institute only pre-ordered 1,000 roses thinking that they might receive at least 500 responses. However the response “blew up the rose market in San Francisco,” Executive Director Maggie Gallagher said.
“We couldn’t locate 3500 roses to send today but we will get them to her,” Benedict XVI Institute Gallagher said in a press release. “Each rose represents more prayers and rosaries for Nancy Pelosi, as well as for babies in the womb and their mothers.”
Gallagher noted that it was an “overwhelming response.”
“It’s an entirely organic response to Archbishop Cordileone’s leadership,” she said. “We had planned a digital marketing campaign, but so far Facebook has censored every version of an ad asking folks to pray and fast for Nancy Pelosi. But Catholics are coming anyway to commit to a Rose and Rosary for Nancy.”
