Nancy Pelosi is power hungry.
She desperately wants to reclaim the gavel and become the next Speaker of the House.
But she just received devasting news that may block her from holding that title.
Democrats Shocked at New Poll in Key House Race
Democrats need to pick up 24 Republican seats to recapture control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Real Clear Politics ranks 40 house seats as “toss-ups.”
So, it’s going to be really close on election night.
One key race is in Arizona’s First District.
And it’s one of just a handful of seats where the Republicans are on the offensive.
The seat is currently held by Democrat Tom O’Halleran.
But he has his hands full against a pro-Trump Republican.
Wendy Rogers is seeking to beat him.
A new poll released by the Rogers’ campaign shows she’s surging.
This poll has Rogers beating the Democrat 39.44% to 36.23%.
The remaining 24.44% are undecided.
If the Republicans are able to pick up a seat here, that will be a good sign on election night.
That would be one more seat that Pelosi can’t count on to become Speaker again.
Do Democrats Even Want Pelosi Back as Speaker?
Conservatives shudder at the thought of Nancy retaking the gavel.
And rightfully so.
Afterall, Pelosi is responsible for passing ObamaCare in the House.
Pelosi’s ability to ram through Obama’s liberal agenda backfired with the Tea Party wave in 2010.
But even socialized medicine fails to quench the thirst of socialists.
It’s no secret there’s a civil war going on within the Democrat ranks.
Anti-Pelosi socialists are changing a rule on how Democrats elect leadership.
Simply put, the socialists are making sure someone even more progressive than Nancy Pelosi is in charge.
This inter-party fight is not new.
House Democrats have been feuding over leadership roles for the last several years.
Socialists believe Pelosi is harming the party.
They think candidates who support her in competitive districts could lose.
They fear conservatives could leverage anti-Pelosi sentiment.
That’s why 31 Democrats running for office have pledged not to vote for Pelosi if they win.
It’s hard to believe Nancy Pelosi is too moderate for socialists.
But her replacement will be even further to the left.
Democrats Hoping to Ride Blue Wave to Impeachment
The Democrats are counting down the days until the midterms.
They think a blue wave is building.
If that’s true, chances are Democrats will retake control of the House.
Trump would be in grave danger if his happens.
With Democrats controlling the House, they can begin the impeachment process.
The good news is, the Senate map favors Republicans.
Ten Democrats are running in states Trump won in 2016.
But Democrats hold an enthusiasm edge.
Still, polls are showing a potential shift in voter enthusiasm.
The Kavanaugh hearings may be backfiring.
But that won’t stop the Democrats from trying to block him.
If they manage to take back the Senate too, they will also hold any Supreme Court seats open through the 2020 election.
That would be bad news for Republicans.
