President Donald Trump is the anti-Barack Obama.
He has a radically different vision of America than Obama did.
And now Obama is furious after Trump smashed the last piece of his legacy.
Obama’s legacy is one of economic ruin, worldwide embarrassment, and constant scandal.
And now under President Trump, America is on the path towards returning to the greatness that America once was.
Among his plan is the unleashing of American energy dominance.
Under Barack Obama, he put the jobs of hard-working Americans at great risk in his quest to stop so-called “climate change.”
He enacted costly regulations that Americans are still hurting from.
But things are getting better, as Trump continues to fire back at the failures of the Obama administration by cutting red tape to allow America’s energy industry to thrive yet again.
And Trump just got his biggest win on this front yet.
His Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) just finalized their plan to repeal and replace Obama’s Clean Power Plan.
The plan never went fully into effect due to a stay from the Supreme Court, but if it did, critics claim it would cost thousands of coal industry jobs.
Instead, the agency will implement the new Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule, which is highly popular by those working in the energy industry.
“ACE is an important step towards realigning EPA actions so they are consistent with the rule of law and the original mission of the agency,” Mandy Gunasekara, a former Trump EPA official who worked on ACE, told The Daily Caller.
“While it’s well known that the political team believes this to be the case, it’s not as well known that there are many career officials who are equally relieved with returning to EPA’s traditional approach of regulating under this part of the Clean Air Act,” Gunasekara said.
The rule asks states to improve coal plant efficiency.
This is vastly different than Obama’s plan, which forces coal plants to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 32 percent by the year 2030.
That rule would force plants to reduce their workload, and result in thousands of Americans losing their jobs.
A number of states challenged the rule in 2016, with the Supreme Court agreeing with them.
And now with President Trump in office, the American workers finally have a win against massive government regulations standing in the way of American greatness.
This is a move that pro-coal groups are praising.
“The rule takes a sensible and legally sound approach to regulating carbon dioxide emissions from the nation’s coal fleet,” Michelle Bloodworth, president of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, said in a statement.
But not surprisingly, far-left environmental groups are furious, blasting the Trump administration for standing up for American workers above their radical interests.
“It’s time for this administration to listen to the voices of the future demanding action on this crisis and moving our country toward a 100 percent clean energy economy instead of siding with polluters and the voices of the past,” Christy Goldfuss, senior vice president for energy and environment at the Center for American Progress, said in a statement.
