The media is not subtle when it comes to their dislike for President Trump.
But to be fair, the feeling is mutual.
And the media just proved how hysterical they have become with their reaction to one person’s retirement.
This week could be described as perhaps the worst week of President Donald Trump’s presidency for his enemies. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of his travel ban, the right of California crisis pregnancy centers to not provide information about abortion, and against forced union dues for public sector employees.
To top all of that off, Justice Anthony Kennedy, long seen as the court’s swing seat, has chosen to retire.
This gives President Trump the ability to nominate someone new to take his place.
If Trump is to appoint someone like Justice Neil Gorsuch, his agenda would be safe when questioned by the highest court in the land.
The left knows this, and have gone into full freak-out. The New York Daily News perfectly expressed leftist outrage.
Their Wednesday cover is an angry caricature of President Trump holding a gavel, with the text “WE ARE F*#%’D” written in large text.

A bullet list mentions Kennedy’s retirement, the nation bracing for Trump’s nominee, and a rumor that Judge Jeanine Pirro is a possible pick for the Supreme Court.
The Judge, known for her show on Fox News, has garnered the support from people like the President’s son, Donald Trump Jr.
While Judge Pirro is not included on Trump’s list of potential nominees, many speculate that with her high profile, and similar viewpoints as the President, she could be a possibility.
Also thrown around as a non-listed possibility is Judge Andrew Napolitano, another Fox News host, who Trump tweeted about just days prior.
Of those included on his list, the most well-known name is Sen. Mike Lee of Utah. Prior to being a U.S. Senator, Lee worked professionally as a lawyer, even working as a clerk for future Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito when he was a judge on the Third Circuit of Appeals.
Sen. Lee is seen as the conservative favorite because of his originalist view of the Constitution.
While most of the conservative movement is supporting him, some Trump supporters have spoken out against Lee due to his highly vocal anti-Trump rhetoric leading up to the 2016 election, even begging Trump to drop out of the race at one point.
While there’s no telling who Trump will nominate, the left is going to hate it. President Trump could nominate former President Obama and the left would fight it tooth and nail.
But confirming his nominee will be slightly easier due to the work of Democrats while Obama was in office.
During judicial confirmations, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid led the charge to invoke the nuclear option on judicial nominations, which changes the 60 vote threshold for confirmation to 50 votes.
When Democrats were pushing to invoke the nuclear option, many Republicans warned that if they did it then, there is no reason Republicans wouldn’t do it when it became expedient for them.
So the confirmation of anyone Trump appoints has almost no chance of being defeated.
Who do you want to see on the Supreme Court?
