CNN’s war on Donald Trump and his supporters backfired big time.
Now it’s CNN that’s on the defensive.
And one Republican has a video tape that will ruin the career of this CNN host.
CNN’s struggling morning show “New Day” is hemorrhaging viewers as the show is lost without Donald Trump to provide a ratings anchor.
CNN tried to create a new hate figure when “New Day” invited on Ohio Republican Senate candidate Josh Mandel to discuss Ohio Congressman Anthony Gonzalez’s vote to impeach Trump and Mandel’s Senate competitor’s—former state party chair Jane Timken—initial support for Gonzalez.
Instead, a video Mandel’s campaign posted showed Mandel fighting back against host John Berman’s deranged conspiracy theories and Democrat Party talking points.
You can watch the video Mandel’s campaign posted to social media at the bottom of this article.
The video began with Mandel rejecting the baseless claim that Trump incited the January incident at the Capitol.
Mandel stated that Trump told his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” protest at the Capitol.
“As we all know, John, President Trump told everyone who was at the rally to march peacefully,” Mandel declared. “If others chose to march in a different way, and do things against policemen — that was on their own volition, but President Trump didn’t have a part in it.”
That clearly threw off Berman, who, like all CNN hosts, is obsessed with the January episode and making it the focal point of all coverage pertaining to Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
Mandel explained that for Trump to win a swing state like Ohio in blowouts twice meant he attracted support from across the political spectrum.
“Listen, I’m born and raised in the Cleveland area, and let me tell you something, one of the reasons why President Trump won Ohio by eight points twice is because not only Republicans support him here in the state of Ohio, but Democrats support him here in the state of Ohio as well,” Mandel added.
That only further seemed to enrage Berman, and Mandel responded that Berman was an Ivy League-educated coastal elitist talking down to him.
“But you, John, with your Harvard degree, living in New York, you condescend on people like me from Ohio. You condescend on the 75 million of us who voted for President Trump,” Mandel continued.
Mandel clearly enjoyed getting under Berman’s skin accusing him of getting excited and taking drugs before the interview.
“John, you’re getting really excited and defensive,” Mandel exclaimed. “Are you okay tonight? Did you do drugs before this program? What’s wrong with you? Why are you so defensive and excited? Just calm down, John, this is your show. Why don’t you take control?”
At one point Mandel must have believed that Berman was so crazed that Mandel felt embarrassed for him.
“Aren’t you embarrassed? You’re losing your cool on your own show. You should be embarrassed for yourself,” Mandel said.
Mandel’s spokesman later told Breitbart that Berman tried to hijack the interview, but when Mandel fought back and made Berman look foolish, CNN scuttled any plans to air the segment.
This NY/Harvard elitist condescends on the 75 million of us who voted for President Trump. Then he chickens out from airing the interview when I make him look like a total fool.@JohnBerman + @CNN = FRAUDS pic.twitter.com/OM73Wg7Nlx
