Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is no fan of Donald Trump.
Now Ryan is fighting with Trump over the future of the Republican Party.
And Paul Ryan made a confession about Donald Trump that will put your jaw on the ground.
Donald Trump endorsed conservative challenger Russell Fry to South Carolina Congressman Tom Rice.
Rice was one of ten Republicans that voted to impeach Donald Trump in Nancy Pelosi’s second impeachment witch hunt.
Ryan campaigned for Rice as part of the RINO GOP establishment’s push to wrest control of the party back from Trump and his grassroots conservative supporters.
At the event for Rice, Ryan claimed many in the House Republican conference wanted to vote to impeach Donald Trump following January 6, but backed down when they realized their voters refused to buying into the corporate media’s narrative and overhyping of the day’s events.
“There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who just didn’t have the guts to do it,” Ryan declared.
“There are a lot of people who say they’re going to vote their conscience, they’re going to vote for the Constitution, they’re going to vote for their convictions but when it gets hard to do that they don’t do it,” Ryan added.
Ryan claimed Rice – because he voted to get rid of Trump – was a man of conviction.
“Tom Rice is a man of conviction,” Ryan stated. “Tom Rice is the kind of person you want in Congress.”
Ryan added that voters in South Carolina wanted a Never Trumper as their representative and attacked Trump for supporting a primary challenger to Rice for the sole reason that Rice voted to impeach Trump.
“This is just such a crystal clear case where you have a hard-working, effective, senior member of Congress who deserves reelection vs. people who are just trying to be celebrities who may be trying to help Trump with his vengeance,” Ryan declared.
“That’s not who voters want, voters want people focused on their solutions not on Trump’s vengeance and that to me is a really clear cut case here,” Ryan continued.
But the polls do not bear Ryan out.
The latest Trafalgar poll showed the Trump-endorsed Fry leading Rice by 17 points.

Paul Ryan is re-emerging on the political scene believing some Trump candidates in Georgia losing their primary means the GOP is ready to move.
Ryan and other RINOs like George W. Bush and Mitt Romney want to bring the GOP back to 2008 and 2012 when the party supported amnesty for illegal aliens, endless foreign wars and trade deals that shipped American jobs overseas.
But picking a fight in South Carolina over Tom Rice looks like it will be another loss for the establishment.
