Democrats are expecting a Blue Wave.
They think this will get them closer towards their ultimate goal: impeaching Trump.
But now, one poll for an unlikely source is destroying the Democrats’ dreams.
Is the Blue Wave Crashing Against a Red Wall?
President Trump is focused on making America great again.
Trump’s hard at work igniting the economy.
Trump’s tax cut plan is working.
His ability to cut through job-stifling red tape and regulations is paying off.
The unemployment rate is plummeting.
Wages are rising.
And economic optimism is soaring.
This is not the kind of good news Democrats want to hear.
They’ve been beating the drums against Trump and claim these numbers are correlated to Trump’s success.
Regardless, Democrats are suffering politically from the good news.
A new poll from NBC measuring the “generic ballot” question proves it.
They asked voters which party they were voting for in November.
NBC found 42 percent of voters prefer their Democrat candidates this fall.
While 36 percent of voters prefer their Republican candidates.
Micah Roberts, a Republican pollster, destroyed the myth of the “Blue Wave.”
“A six-pointed differential is not something that’s going to cause a big electoral wave,” Micah Roberts noted.
“Economic confidence that people have among a lot of groups is providing a buffer,” Roberts added of the Republican candidates.
The poll’s own data backs this up.
NBC found nearly half, or 48%, of the general voting population, is optimistic about the current economy.
Combine Trump’s strong economy with the left’s demand to introduce violence to the political process, and the Democrats could be in danger.
Nightmare of 2016 Still Haunts Liberals’ Nightmares
This isn’t all that new.
In 2016, the polls made it appear Trump was toast.
That’s because he was surging and their poll numbers didn’t catch how much momentum Trump was building.
So they continued to bash Trump.
But Trump had the last laugh.
This year, Trump gave Republicans a momentum surge with his pro-economic growth agenda.
Pollsters and the fake news media have always enjoyed a cozy relationship.
So the fake news media and Democrats will never give Trump the credit he deserves.
Every liberal media outlet reported Trump was going to lose.
That’s part of what made Trump’s 2016 comeback successful.
But now, some Democrats are sensing the elections may be a repeat of 2016.
Are the Democrats Blowing It, Again?
A New York Times reporter was one of the first to pick up on the momentum change.
Bret Stephens said, “Liberals have become Donald Trump’s unwitting allies.”
Stephens is highlighting how the Democrats have gone so far left, they’re making themselves unelectable.
He’s not alone.
Nate Cohn of the New York Times echoed his statement.
“Take everything together, and, on balance, it’s been a good 10 days of polling for the GOP in a lot of important battlegrounds.”
This is just another bad poll and news report for the Democrats.
They need 23 seats in the house to capture Congress.
Will it happen?
