Barack Obama’s claims about Russian collusion have been disproven once and for all.
There’s no excuse for what he did.
There’s a big red flag in the Russiagate scandal that’s keeping Obama up at night.
The Mueller investigation lasted 674 days and produced a report that was more than 300 pages long.
Since Mueller failed to find any evidence at all of Russian collusion, the question that Democrats now need to answer is why the investigation was started in the first place.
Yet Robert Mueller spent very little time explaining the evidence that started the investigation.
Perhaps because there was very little evidence even to support the allegations that were made against Trump.
Most of the evidence merely consists of the fact that Russia favored Trump during the election.
Trump has not been preferential to Russia during the election and the amount Russia spent on Facebook ads is pocket change.
Clinton had over a hundred million more to spend but millions in advertising couldn’t make her appealing to voters.
The problem is that that’s not enough reason to spy on the Trump campaign.
There were probably foreign countries that wanted Clinton to win. Foreign governments gave millions to the Clinton Foundation.
The evidence wasn’t sufficient for the Obama administration to authorize surveillance of an opponent’s political campaign.
Obama’s team probably wouldn’t have been so bold if they hadn’t been certain that Clinton was going to win the election.
It seemed at first the mainstream media was bolstering the idea of Russian collusion because they couldn’t believe that Trump really won but the truth is that they were trying to protect Democrats.
Richard Grenell, who was previously the U.S. Ambassador to Germany and the temporary Director of National Intelligence said there were “red flags from the beginning” of the investigations into Russian collusion but that the intelligence community hid that information from the public.
“The Russian investigation had all sorts of red flags from the beginning, and when you look at the transcripts, when you look at the declassified footnotes from some of the investigations, it’s clear, Maria, that there were multiple people from multiple agencies that were raising red flags,” Grenell said to Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. “However, what was really sad to me is that those red flags and those voices were pushed aside, classified, and never shown to the public, and so very few people knew the truth, and the silence from those people was really shocking, and so what I wanted to do was be transparent.”
The 53 witness transcripts that Grenell declassified, forcing an unwilling Adam Schiff to release, showed how little basis there was for the investigations to start.
Grenell continued that “transparency is never political” and “transparency is what the American people demand — and it’s what Washington, D.C., is very uncomfortable with.”
All Americans should be concerned about this scandal. Just because it was Trump who was attacked this time doesn’t mean it won’t be Democrats next time.
