Rep. Maxine Waters is the most vocal supporter of impeaching President Trump.
She is working overtime to make sure it happens, even when many in her party aren’t on her side.
But Maxine Waters’ plans just went down in flames after Republicans made one announcement that left her in tears.
Nancy Pelosi is wavering on impeachment.
She isn’t sure if it is the best move at this point, as it will be very unlikely to pass.
But while Pelosi is unsure, her allies like Nancy Pelosi and Rashida Tlaib are confident that impeachment is the best move right now.
Waters believes that impeachment is the only way to prove to the world that Trump is an illegitimate President.
“But guess what? They are going to believe [Trump wasn’t legitimately elected] when we get rid of him,” Waters said.
Without facts on her side, she simply wants to go all out to prove her point.
And along with Waters, Muslim Rep. Rashida Tlaib stated that Democrats in the House are already “moving towards” impeachment.
Tlaib made this statement shortly after saying that she gets a “calming feeling” while thinking about the Holocaust.
But regardless of what Democrats are saying, Republicans are firm in their resolve to shut down their attempts at impeachment as soon as possible.
“I think it would be disposed of very quickly,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham told The Hill. “If it’s based on the Mueller report, or anything like that, it would be quickly disposed of.”
Graham has become an unlikely ally of President Trump in recent months, especially following the confirmation hearings of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
At one point, Graham was one of Trump’s most vocal opponents.
But now he is working as a pitbull for the President, challenging the Democrat obstructionists every day.
Much like Graham, Sen. John Cornyn has become an ally of Trump, and he is now stating that any attempts at impeachment will be quickly stopped.
“It would be defeated. That’s why all they want to do is talk about it,” Sen. John Cornyn said. “They know what the outcome would be.”
Even Sen. Thom Tillis, who was a lead sponsor of a bill to protect Robert Mueller in 2018 is stating that he will refuse to even give Democrats a platform in the Senate to push impeachment.
“Why on earth would we give a platform to something that I judge as a purely political exercise?” Sen. Thom Tillis told The Hill.
“We have to perform our constitutional duty, but if people think that we’re going to try and create a theater that could give you the perception that this is a matter that rises to the level of Watergate, that’s nonsense.”
The only Republican on the side of Democrats is Rep. Justin Amash, who is speaking out in favor of impeaching the president.
But shortly after coming out in favor of impeachment, Amash has already lost his biggest donor, and gained a Republican primary challenger.
His support for impeachment is likely the last major political move he will ever make.
This is proving to Maxine Waters clear as day that she will never win on her calls for impeachment.
