Ilhan Omar was skating on thin ice in Congress.
But then someone bailed Omar out.
And one RINO sellout just saved Ilhan Omar’s job with this unthinkable betrayal.
Kevin McCarthy promised to hold a vote kicking Omar off her seat on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Omar’s history of anti-Semitic bigotry includes questioning the loyalty of Jewish Americans and claiming a cabal of wealthy Jews pull the strings on American politics.
Now that Republicans are in the majority McCarthy intends to make good on his word.
Nancy Pelosi set this standard in the last Congress.
McCarthy explained Republicans were just forcing Democrats to live under their own rules.
Omar — of course — responded by claiming it was racist to hold her accountable for her bigotry.
“As the only African born, not being on the Africa subcommittee is not just an elimination of a unique voice but an elimination of all the voices that have never been heard on a committee on the continent. It’s racist, xenophobic and discriminatory,” Omar posted on Twitter.
Due to Republicans only holding 222 seats McCarthy can only afford to lose four votes.
Florida Congressman Greg Steube is at home recuperating from injuries leaving McCarthy only two votes to spare.
Indiana Congresswoman Victoria Spartz said she would not vote to remove Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
RINO South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace — who allied herself with the pro-abortion movement and helped Democrats pass a bill mandating homosexual marriage in all 50 states — also defended Omar.
“I’m not going to be a hypocrite just because Republicans are in the majority now,” Mace told reporters. “It’s not been a precedent in Congress to kick people off of their committees because of things that they say, even if you vehemently disagree with those things.”
Conservative Colorado Congressman Ken Buck became the third Republican to oppose booting Omar off the committee.
“I don’t. I think that Nancy Pelosi ruined this institution. I think she ruined it in a lot of different ways. And one of the ways was kicking members off of committees, which hadn’t been done in the past,” Buck told “Meet the Press NOW” host Chuck Todd.
Buck then tried to defend his opposition saying it was up to each party to decide committee assignments citing the time Republicans caved to the woke mob and removed conservative Iowa Congressman Steve King from committee assignments back in 2018.
“Certainly, their own party has kicked members off committees. Steve King from Iowa, for example, was removed from committee assignments by Republicans, but that hasn’t happened with the other party. She she determined who would get on the January 6th Commission and put two Republicans on that committee. So I think that we should not engage in this tit for tat,” Buck added.
Conservatives are tired of Republicans playing by a set of rules that Democrats ignore.
Democrats routinely violate norms and then demand Republicans unilaterally disarm.
Buck, Mace, and Spartz are the type of Republicans who refuse to fight Democrats which led to the rise of Donald Trump.
